The Band Room

Chapter 3

As the weeks passed by, each began to learn more about whom the other was. Baekhyun learned that Chanyeol was the "Happy Virus" of the school. The one who brightened up any room he walked into, or atleast thats what is said. While Chanyeol learned that Baekhyun was more so on the quiet side, not wanting to be noticed. These two had almost completely different personalities, yet somehow managed to get along well. It was now the third week that Chanyeol came into the band room to meet Baekhyun to hear him sing, when Baekhyun decided to finally get up the courage to ask the question he had been dying to ask since the first few days of Chanyeol's arrival. "Are we friends?" Baekhyun blurted out upon seeing Chanyeol enter the building. Chanyeol chuckled a bit before nodding and asking, "Of course. If not, why would I continue to meet you here?" Baekhyun felt embarrassed. He had never thought much of it really... he had just gotten used to having Chanyeol there and he didn't question why he kept coming back, just wondered if they were friends from time to time. Chanyeol stepped closer to the smaller boy and sat down beside him, awaiting the older boy to sing. However, he was met with another question. "Do you sing?" he asked. Chanyeol's eyes widened. He shook his head no, telling the older that he just enjoyed music, yet wasn't gifted with a beautiful voice. "Oh." Baekhyun said a little disappointed. He had hoped to sing with Chanyeol. "Yea... sorry?" The younger asked unsure of what to say really. "It's okay. It's not your fault I suppose." Baekhyun said before beginning to sing, as usual.
