You still shine

You're still like a scented flower

Now trust me, hold me once again

So I can feel you, hold me

The car was waiting outside the next morning. Aiko had been having a horrible headache from the party last night. She trudged down the stairs to find both her parents waiting for her. She glared at both of them, muttered a 'Bye' and was out.

The bags were loaded and she got into the car, where Mr. Takashi was sitting in the passenger's seat. She got in and sat in the back beside Ushijima. The father turned around and gave a kind, reassuring smile to her.

"Don't be mad, Aiko-chan. You'll love it in Miyagi," he said. Aiko nodded and smiled back. At least someone's nice to her. Just as the car was about to pull out of the house, Amazawa came running out holding something. A paper bag.

"Stop the car!" Aiko got out and ran to Amazawa, who was panting and almost had tears in her eyes. She handed the bag to Aiko.

"Your mother wanted you to have this," she said. They looked at each other for a moment. Aiko would miss Amazawa more than anyone else in that house. She'd been her mother when her real one wasn't around. The maid pulled Aiko into a tight hug, warmth enveloping the girl's body and the heiress felt tears well up.

"Be a good girl. You'll be alright," Amazawa said, her voice shaky. "Go."

Aiko watched through the tinted windows as the waving figure of her favourite maid got tinier and tinier and the house got farther and farther away.

"Is there anywhere you want to stop by before we continue our journey?" Mr. Takashi asked. Aiko thought for a moment.

"Fukurodani Gakuen, please."

The volleyball team still practiced hard during the summer. Actually, even more so. Aiko would often go to school to help the team out. If it weren't for one of her best friends, Kotarou Bokuto-who also happened to be the team's captain and ace, she wouldn't have to. But he kept on pestering her to come so she did, just to shut him up.

It ended up being a routine. Everyday after school, she'd help them set up and play referee. During tournaments, she'd help by sponsoring food and drinks. She even was the one who sponsored their jerseys.

But today was different, her heart hammered against her chest as she stood outside, watching them. She hadn't told anyone but Akaashi and Sakura -their manager (IDK HER NAME IM SORRY LOL). She was most worried about Bokuto. Knowing him and his mood swings, he definitely would not take the news well.

Especially with Ushijima following her, he might start a fight. She'd said she'd be fine but Mr. Takashi insisted for her 'safety'.

Just as she was about to enter, she turned to Ushijima.

"I think it would be better if you could... stay outside for a while." She said, not looking at him. She took a deep breath and pushed the door open.

They were playing a practice match as usual but the gym seemed more crowded than usual. Then, she realized it was another team they were playing against. She watched and her eyes widened with recognition. Nekoma. She spotted the familiar bed-head, Tetsuro Kuroo. A big flirt that one, she remembered. It was during the most recent tournament when he had tried to woo her with a dumb pick up line.
