The Product of Neglect

Why? Why me?

The 3 year old twins were playing in the back yard and being watched by their parents. This seemed like a normal family but it was anything but, the parents were one of the strongest shinobies in the leaf, not to mention the father, Minato Nimakaze, is the fourth Hokage and the mother was one was of the best ninjas in the Leaf Village. The twins weren't normal as well, they had the abilities of their parents but Naruto also had a secret that only his parents knew about. The great 9 tailed Beast was sealed inside Naruto, the oldest of the 2 where as Narumi had nothing but was favoured by their parents. Suddenly Kushina came up behind Minato and gave him a hug, which surprised Minato.

"So are we going to start training them?" Kushina asked while sitting on Minato's lap.

"We are going to train Narumi but going to wait until Naruto starts the Academy to train him," Minato said as if he already knew what was happening. "But for now we are to focus on Narumi and her alone, if we train Naruto and he goes on a rampage, we would be able to clean the whole village of humans," Kushina's eyes widened at the realization that her husband was scared of Naruto.

"So we are going to leave Naruto to his own?" She asked slowly, getting a nod from her beloved.

"Lets get them together and we will break the news to them," Minato said, slowly getting up.

They called the children and made them sit on the couch inside and while they stood in front.

"Okay we will be announcing when your training begins, and I will say im sure you will do us proud," Minato said as if Naruto wasn't there. "Narumi, you training begins tomorrow and u better be prepare because we are not going easy on you," Minato said with a proud smile. Naruto just sat there with nothing and slowly got up and went to his room. This was always the case, Naruto being neglected and not being able to do anything because his parents don't care about him. He needed time to think so he left the house to walk around. For a 3 year old, he was very intelligent and could already speak very well. That could be due to the fact that the only book Naruto was ever allowed to read was a dictionary, because his father didn't want him to become stronger and destroy the village. That's all Minato is, he is scared of his own son and not letting him be what he can be. As Naruto walked through the village, he could feel the glares and the KI from a mile away and it wasn't helping that his own Family were ignoring him. Suddenly he felt someone grab him from behind and turned him around to see a group of villagers.

"Well well look who decided to show up," The one at the front said. Fear showed clear in Naruto's eyes when the grabbed him and took him to an ally to tie him up. When they did they all took knives and started to cut Naruto, very deeply. Naruto was screaming in pain, hearing only them calling him monster, and saying that he should die. After 2 hours of cutting  they finally decided it was enough and let him go, even thought he wasn't able to walk because of all the pain. When he finally made it home by crawling. When he limped inside, that his parents were celebrating their birthday, THEIR BIRTHDAY, not just Narumi's but THEIRS. Naruto could feel the great power coming to him but he supressed it. He knew that he couldn't get mad because they were family,weren't they? Naruto ran to his room crying and just laid there, wanting to die.

"I'm not letting that happen..." Said a voice, Naruto instantly sat up and looked around. He didn't see anything so he sat back and thought again.

'Maybe im going crazy,' He thought.

"No your not," The voice spoke again, scaring Naruto.

'who are you' He asked frantically, turning his head rapidly to find the person talking to him.

"Im the 9 tailed fox, Kyuubi but please call me by my name, Kurama," The voice spoke. Naruto instantly went wide eyed. He had read the books about the great tailed beasts and how they would seal them in young children.

'where are you? why cant I see you?' Naruto asked again

"*sigh* im inside your head because I was sealed inside you by the person you call father," Kurama spoke. Naruto realized that's why his family hates him, he has a monster stuck inside him but they are scared of him and that's why villagers keep abusing him. "Im sorry, for all its worth, I looked through your memories and I am disgusted by what the villagers do and what you own family do to you, and its all my fault," She said with tears and this surprised him. The books had always said that the tailed beasts were heartless and cold and would destroy anything in their path.

"Its not your fault that my parents are mean people, I mean you cant control what other people think so please don't blame your self," Naruto said. Before he knew it he was on top of a hill with a tree at the very top. Next to the tree sat a beautiful woman with nine tails and was wearing a kimono that was red with black foxes on it. Naruto slowly approached the woman and was the one to break the silence.

"Are you Kurama?" Naruto asked with an innocent voice with line of scared sounding undertone. The woman nodded and without thinking he hugged her. "Your the only one who has spoken to me kindly and actually cared about my existence, thank you," Naruto cried into her shoulder. This was the first hug for both of them but they both were happy it was with each other.

"Its okay Naruto ill look after and if you want I can be your mom," She said in a motherly tone. Naruto's eyes widened at the thought of having a mother that actually cared about him and began to cry harder into her shoulder. Naruto went to sleep in her arms and was happy that he had finally found someone who cared about him.

**TimeSkip**

Naruto woke up in the morning, he sat up to see that he was in his bedroom. He saddened at the thought of everything he experience being a dream.

"It wasn't a dream son," The angelic voice said. Naruto eyes widened, it wasn't a dream.

'So im guessing I can communicate with you through thought?' Naruto asked through thought. She nodded in his head so he began to think. 'do you think you could train me to be a strong ninja?' He asked with the puppy dog eyes.  Kuruma sighed and nodded again.

"Go get ready and go to clearing in the forest east of here, ill start training you on how to use your Chakra first," Naruto frowned.

"but I already know how to use chakra," Naruto said, which surprised Kurama because she was expecting him to know nothing but here he was saying he knows how to use it already.

"Okay you can show me there..."
