A/N: I am sad to say that this is the last chapter for the Zero x Maya fanfiction. To be honest, I have no more ideas of what to do with these two as my favorite characters from the game. If I play some of the DLCs, then I might have an idea, but I don't know. I may have made the ending for this chapter a bit bad. But I don't know how to end a story. But please enjoy, and comment on what I CAN write about next! I find it dull not to write about these two and find it fun to come up with some ideas about what to write (even though I'm empty). I might do some one-shots, but I am unsure for now. But now, it is high time that I shut up and let you enjoy the story! Thanks for reading! <3 :)

Chapter 6-Zer0 T0 Her0

Once Zero landed at the Wildlife Exploit Preserve from fast traveling, he could notice that now, it seemed a little more occupied. Outside of the rocky arch now, were combat engineers, Hyperion hawks, Hyperion infiltrators, and engineers walking around. This mocked him.

And to think that it would be easier..., he thought, disappointed just slightly. The only thing that this provided was an accurate challenge. Agreeing with the idea, he vanished.

Each one of the Hyperion personnel outside were soon on the floor dead. One was left standing—a combat engineer. As soon as he was about to run, however, he was grabbed by a now visible Zero.

“Talk. Where is the Siren?” the assassin asked, drawing his katana against the throat of the combat engineer.

“I don't know...I have no idea of what you are talking about.” he answered.

He drew the blade deeper in response, threatening to kill the combat engineer if he didn't speak. “Talk or die.”

“The Siren, you say? She's in one of the holding cells. I believe the Bloodwing Enclosure.”

“Thanks. Now....” the assassin murmured, then he took the sword and decapitated the combat engineer. “I don't need any evidence that I asked.”

Then stumbling over some of the dead bodies, he made his way over to the Preserve Dockyard.

And as usual, he had some guests before he actually was allowed to enter.

“How kind. I didn't know I had such a large welcome party.” he teased, then he once again vanished.

As usual, he had cleared out the dockyard in minutes. Most of the clearance was from melee, some from his Infinity pistol.

“Now, to find Maya.” he told himself, but as soon as he was heading up the stairs, he had a last guest to take care of. A badass slag skag.

“Hello, badass.” he greeted sarcastically, then he started shooting.

Once the skag was nothing but a large purple lump on the road, he made his way past it. If there were anymore enemies, then he would be bored as hell. This wasn't even a challenge!

“This is Doctor Samuels from the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve. I am making this announcement for whoever catches the Vault Hunter who just entered the Preserve will get a bonus payment and a day off. I want them turned in to me at the holding cells.”

“Great. This day just gets better and better.” he muttered sarcastically.

Then he made his way to the Specimen Maintenance holding cells.

??????????

Maya opened her eyes once more to face a white blinding light. Was she dead?

If I'm dead, why can I feel my nerves still tickling me slightly? And...what? Am I strapped to a table?! She thought, and sure enough, she was.
