Chapter 2: Physics

Amara doesn't physics. Physics she doesn't understand, something that doesn't ever make sense and probably never will. Now, on the other hand, he was brilliant. Brilliant with physics anyways. He often used to talk to her and she would take notes, I mean it could help her in the long run right? Maybe, she was always optimistic with him. His dream was to be an astrophysicist. Hers was a divorce lawyer. Totally different things and Alex had even told her that he couldn't see Amara as a divorce lawyer.

*Flashback*

"So you know I want to be an astrophysicist, what do you want to do?" He questioned.
Simply, she responds, "A divorce lawyer."
"No kidding, why?"
"I want to help people in those situations, divorce isn't always a bad thing."
"You realize you would be splitting up families and ending marriage, right?" He was in disbelief. Her? A divorce lawyer? He couldn't see it.
"What," She says trying to lighten the mood. "Can't see me in a pantsuit and a briefcase?" She grins.
"Yes I can but I rather see you in nothing at all." Now it was his turn to smile.

She groaned, laughing.

*Flashback Over*

She had no time for her Nat/Phys class and it was draining her. She thought that if they still talked regularly, she would ask him to tutor her. She is a freshman, he is a senior, it would be great to have extra information with her psycho teacher.

  Amara loves History. Alex f.ucking hates History. Hates it, hates it, hates it. And he hates that he doesn't talk to Amara anymore. She had said they shouldn't talk anymore after discussing what had happened with Isa. B.ullshit. For some reason he will always hold Isa responsible for their now broken friendship. Yes, Alex liked the "with Benefits" part too, and frequently thought about it, but he happened to really like her as a person. Even if she had lied about being 15. Doesn't matter to him, age is age, and anyways Alex is dating Isa who is 5 years his senior. Amara was only 3 years younger.

Had he thought about Amara in a romantic way? Yes he had. Was he sure he actually was sane thinking about it when he had a girlfriend who had just moved from Germany to Greece for him? And then he betrayed her? No. But f.uck Alex doesn't think he regretted anything. But he wanted both girls- well, girl and woman. Alex still thinks over his conversations with Amara and has been in a mood since they stopped talking. How long was it? 5 weeks. He still believes- no hopes that Amara will just up and text him like she used to, or to able to ball up and text her first even when she said her last words to him "We shouldn't talk anymore." He had responded with, "As you wish." When she had said that it felt like the wind was taken from him. He had sat there on his bed, phone in hand just staring at it. Had she really said those words? Surely she didn't f.ucking mean them. He hopes she doesn't really mean them.
