Chapter 19

Trevor's Point of view

"Morning,Brothah" Matt shouted like a five years old bursting through the office door I glanced at my watch "It's 3:00 pm nowhere near morning, and please talk like normal human beings" I said rolling my eyes at him
"Ouch" He said faking hurt "What do you want?" I asked already annoyed by his presence "Oh, nothing I was just bored so I though I could come here and annoy you for a bit" He replied casually messing with the stuff on the office I grabbed what he had in his hand and placed it back on the office desk "These stuff are expensive, and dude grow up you are the older brother here" I said
"That doesn't mean I have to be boring" He said shrugging his shoulders

"Seriously why are you here?" I asked already getting bored with his childish attitude "To talk" He replied, I know where this is going "About?" I asked sitting on my chair searching for something to keep me occupied enough to make me not have eye contact with him
"A girl" He said winking at me I rolled my eye at him "No no no, We're not having this conversation"I said shaking my head "Yes yes yes, so tell me what happened?" He asked

"Nothing" I replied coldly "Re-" He was cut off by my phone ringing I raised my hand to tell him to stop talking I accepted the call "I found it" said the lawyer on the other end "Good job, I'm coming right away" I said and hung up I stood up and grabbed my jacket "I have somewhere to go" I said rushing out "Wait! what's going on?" Matt asked following me "Nothing, just work stuff" I said patting his shoulder and leaving.

Guilt was starting to pile up in my chest but I shrugged the feeling away for now.

Genna's Point of view

"Come on,Genna, throw it" Max whined I rolled my eyes "I'm trying here" I said turning sending him a glare "You really do suck at bowling" He said boredom obvious in his voice "Didn't I say that two hours ago? Your fault for not listening to me" Such a whiney friend, I threw the ball finger crossed hoping for maybe one pin "STRIKE" I screamed at the top of my lungs "That's Miracle, How did that happen? You didn't even know how to grab the ball" Max said I rolled my eyes "Jealous?" I asked wiggling my eyebrows at him "Nah,You're gonna lose anyway" He said pointing two fingers back and forth between me and his eyes I rolled my eyes "We'll see" I challenged.

My phone started ringing I accepted the call already knowing who that is "Yes mom?" I said "Genna,Will come home sweety?" She said over the other end the stress was obvious in her voice "Why?What's wrong?" I asked I'm starting to get worried now "Just get back home" She said and hung up before I could even say anything.

"Come on, let's go" I said "Wait! why?" Max asked following me "Emergency,I guess"

I knocked on the door, after few second mom opened the door for me,looking super stressed,I stepped inside to find my father and a man in a suit talking about something, father seemed so stressed yet so concentrated on what the man was saying.

"Follow me" Mom said I did as she said and followed her to the kitchen, I really don't have a good feeling about this. "Genna" Mom said with a calm voice "Yes?" I replied waiting for her to tell me already what's going on "What happened between you and Trevor?" She asked I avoided making eye contact with her, I cleared my throat "What do you mean?" I asked she sighed "I mean what happened? Did you have an argument?" She asked I raised an eyebrow at her "An argument? I mean an argument would be such a misunderstanding, we both have never got along since the second we met " I said getting a bit angry, this whole situation is starting to get under my skin.

"So you didn't enjoy your time in Hawaii?" She asked I rolled my eyes at her "Well,I would say it would've been better if it was without him" I said, I know this is not entirely true but I want to get to the bottom of this I really need to understand what's happening and who that man is.

"Mom, what's going on?" I asked she sighed and stayed silent for few seconds "Honey, you need to tell me what happened this is very important now" she said

"Fine, you want to know what happened? I'll tell you what happened. He said that he doesn't want to be in this situation, that he doesn't want me and him being victims of your and his parents selfish decisions, he doesn't want to be having a relationship with a child like me, he doesn't want to settle down yet .And he has every right you because your unknown selfish need are going to take him to jail, do you realize what you're putting us through? Who gave you the right to take our lives away from us like that? huh? Who gave you the right to plan the future for us? I'm your only child and you're literally selling me. Now mother what the hell happened?" I said getting out of breath, my blood was boiling at this point tears were willing up in my eyes now I feel sympathy towards myself.

This is such a screwed up situation.

I tapped my feet on the ground waiting impatiently for her to tell me what happened.

Silence.

That's all I got I glared at her still waiting for her to tell me something ANYTHING.

"Trevor sued us and his parents for illegal statement in the contract" A voice from behind me said I turned to find my father, stress was all over his face, I've never in my life seen my father look so stressed.

"You deserve this."
