Losing the very little you had. The only people who were ever by your side. That sliver of hope and happiness.

If Yato lost Yukine, he'd be pretty upset, but if he lost Hiyori, they've already won. The prize is automatically forked over to the enemy without hesitation. However, if they were both gone, there'd be no point to life anymore.

Isn't that.... every god's nightmare? If it isn't, it should be.

It's been a while since anyone's heard from Hiyori Iki. Everyone, her family and school mates, are worried sick. Meanwhile, Yato and Yukine have just started to wonder. Yukine was the first to ask what they were all thinking.

"Where's Hiyori?"

Yato flinched, surprised that the Regalia was reading HIS mind this time. "Eh-" he almost swallowed his sushi whole. "Not sure. She must be backed up on school work."

"Come to think of it," Kofuku jumped in, a finger to her chin and her eyes staring into her head "I haven't seen her either."

"Matte, nani!?" Yukine cried, leaping up and slamming the table. Yato dropped his food and the drinks shook. "You mean to tell me that you guys haven't seen Hiyori in two weeks!?" Yukine searched everyone's faces, getting blank expressions all around.

Yato lowered his chopsticks to speak, but didn't look up at the blond kid. His eyes closed. "Yukine..." Yukine focused on his Master. "No one said that." He said, making it sound like his shinki was overreacting.

"That's how long it's been since we last saw her though!" The blue eyes opened as Yukine continued to scream. "How can you all just sit back and assume that she's okay?"

"Yukine!" Yato had to scream back to get his attention, which he did. His voice gave a sense of warning. The god stood up. "Like I said; she's probably busy."

Yukine grunted. No one was listening to him.

"Seriously, Yukki," Kofuku commented, the stage turning to her. "It's just a few days. Why are you so worried?"

The boy blushed and turned his face the other way. "J-just cuz." He tried once more. "Cuz we're friends!"

Daikoku plucked out his cigarette. "Calm down, kid. I agree with Yato." For once, the man saw eye-to-eye with the god.

"Like he's one to talk!" An accusing hand shot in Yato's direction. Yukine then turned to him. "I know how you feel about her, Yato! Stop hiding all of it. I should know better than anyone that feelings
really hurt!"

As soon as the words slipped out, Yukine knew what he did wrong. He froze, embarrassed.

Yato seemed as if he were suddenly stabbed. A noise escaped his mouth, the words striking a nerve. He was speechless for a minute.

The Regalia was right. Even the mention of her name gets him excited. Love is an apparent emotion, and for a person who covers up his feelings with a brick wall, Yato couldn't keep this one hidden.

The god of calamity blushed hard. He kept his head down so he wouldn't have to look at anyone. The others waited for a reaction, suspense growing.

"...so it's that obvious, huh?"

Everyone directed their attention to Yato and watched. "Eh?"

He shoved his plate away and stood up. His beautiful blue eyes were shaded by his dark hair.

Yukine saw his Master and automatically felt like a huge jerk. He slightly blushed again. A cold hand landed on the boy's shoulder. Yukine quietly gasped.
