Yato dropped to his knees at the sight. His eyes shook in such sorrow, a fat tear sliding down his cheek.

Yukine stood behind him, watching as his Master had no idea how to react.

Seeing all those cruel conditions that she had to bare for so long crushed Yato's heart. Only one word - one name - could escape his lips.

"Hiyori...?"

Her tired eyes opened once more. Pink and tired. Her vision, still blurry and terrible.

"Who's...there...?" She asked, her voice shaky and barely audible.

Yato grabbed his shirt tightly, yanking on it as he could only say, "Hiyori...?"

"Is... this... the Far Shore?" The way she looked and sounded, it seemed like she was dead.

Yato felt like he had been tossed at a brick wall. His heart was done with these hurtful games.

"N-no. No, Hiyori! You're not dead!!!" He shouted back at her, tears flinging from his face. "You remember me, don't you!?"

Tears welled up in Hiyori's eyes. She could listen to that sweet voice all day, and that smudge of a face in front her was nothing more than perfect. For a second, she was quiet.

Then, with the chains holding her back, she quickly got to her feet and tried with all her remaining strength to reach for the god on the other side.

"YATO! PLEASE HELP ME! YATO, I CAN'T STAND IT! I NEED YOU!"

The chains holding her arms back rattled with every force. Those tears finally spilled over, dripping down her pale cheeks. The pink waves coming from her spirit followed her movements. Every effort had failed because of the chains and the Borderline.

For both of them, it was complete torture to see and hear each other, but never to reach or to hold.

Yato burst into tears. It was the worst feeling in the world.

Hiyori gave up and dropped to her knees, crying.

Yato turned to Yukine, who couldn't control his horrible sobbing either, and said, "Yukine? You can take this Borderline down."

Yukine wiped his face on his jacket. "Huh?"

"It's not your Borderline, but you can still do it." His Master explained. "Create another one behind it, and pull it forward."

The Borderline Nora made was surely weak and unstable by then; it should disappear if Yukine did as he was told.

"Hai," Yukine nodded.

His two fingers went up in position, starting out from his left. Being careful of not hitting Hiyori, his Borderline appeared behind the other.

Hiyori quickly moved her legs out of the way. She watched as Yukine continued.

The boy pulled both his hands out in front of him. He closed them into fists and slowly yanked his Borderline towards the old one.

The whole building began to shake.
Although he was being careful, the Borderline struck Nora's Borderline with immense power. Followed by it, the two collided and exploded.

Yato and Yukine were thrown to the wall. The windows shattered. Hiyori screamed and hit the back of her head on the wall.

It wasn't the easiest solution, but at least it worked.

When they quickly recovered, Yato's attention shot over at Hiyori. "Hiyori!" He got up and ran over to her.

"Yato!" She cried back, very eager to have him there to save her. It was a true privilege to have the god of calamity being the one coming to her rescue. Not only being saved, but having it be Yato himself.
