Author's note:
sorry, realized my mistake in forgetting to mention that Luna gave Griffin her address before he walked off.

I went and got something to eat for lunch before heading home, I had eaten and taken my time heading back, a smile never leaving my face. I replayed the moment over and over in my head. I looked at my shoes as I walked on the wet sidewalk, the only thing ruining my thoughts was the fact I almost stepped in dog shit. Good thing I was looking. I dodged the pile of dog shit. "Yuck.." I muttered. I looked up and saw a narrow path in the distance, it was in the opposite place of where I was headed. I figured what the hell, I walked down the path.
Ever since I was little I always liked exploring and adventuring, even scary places, I enjoyed the scariness of it. Other people never understood it. The path was long and it got a little darker as it led me into the woods. It was amazing. All the trees and it looked beautiful.
It led me to a stream. I walked over to it and listened to the sounds of the water flowing. I crouched down and looked at the water flowing over rocks. I smiled.
Snap.
I heard the sound of someone stepping on a twig, I quickly stood up and turned around. My heart beat got faster. I didn't see anyone. "Who's over there?!" I say as I back up, ready to run. Everything was quiet. Too quiet I thought. I waited. I heard the sound of someone walking over leaves and I turned and I ran. I tripped and fell over, I got up and ran even faster out of there. My heart thudding hard in my chest. I stopped at the top of the hill, where the path starts. I quickly look back to see no one there, looking at all the dark trees. Anyone could be hiding in there, watching me. Knowing that I can't see them and that's what gave me the chills. I turned to continue on home but I felt someone put their hands on my arms as I walked into them. I gave a little yell. "Luna? What's going on" I looked to see Griffin. I sighed of relief and hugged onto him tightly. I don't know how he ended up here but I was glad to see him. "I think someone was following me.." I muttered." I pull out of the hug and look up at him. "Come on, I'll walk you home" he offered. "Wait didn't you need to go? I'd hate to bother you cause of this.." This made him smile. "No I ran a few errands, I took care of some things. I have some time before I need to go, but I'll be around for dinner". He turned his head and looked down at me. I smiled and we started walking.
I started thinking. Was someone watching me? I couldn't help but shake the feeling that for the past few days I've felt like I've been being watched, even in my own home. After what happened in the woods I don't think it's my imagination.
"You know, you should be careful, there's a lot of killers that could be waiting for a girl like you to wander some where..especially with that serial killer running around" he said.
"Don't worry I'll be more careful." I said. With that we started walking.
He picked a beautiful flower from the ground and he handed it to me, I smiled and took it. "It's so beautiful.." He smirked. "Your way more beautiful than that fucking flower" I laughed as I blushed. We got to my house and he walked me to my porch. "I will see you tonight" he smiled then took my hand and kissed my knuckles. I blushed and smiled, this made him smirk. "see you tonight" I said as he winked then walked off. I went into my house.

He stood there. A year ago he stood there in the darkness. The little lighting there was casted his shadow. He stood there watching me, waiting for me to shoot.
I heard Lisa scream. My heart skipped a beat, I looked at Griffin then ran to Lisa's safety. Scared of losing her, the house was in flames. I ran in and pushed my way through the flames to save her. But I was too late, by the time I got her out. She was gone. I could hear Griffins voice in my head.
"I was right there, why didn't you kill me Joel?".
"And that's it, I woke up..I've had this same dream ever since that night. Every time another person dies at his hands. I feel like I've let her down.
" I stared at the wall, replaying that night in my head. Hating myself and Griffin more and more.
"Your doing your best, Joel. You don't give up on these girls when the pictures are sent to you, you don't hesitate. That's all anyone could ask".
My eyes shift to Polly. Her hair was long and dark brown, her eyes were dark brown. She was pretty and also understanding. I smiled a little and looked away. "Try telling their families that" she sighed softly. "I think you should give yourself more credit, I think everyone should give you more credit. Your not doing a half ass job like the other Detectives seem to be doing" I laughed. I looked at the clock. "I've got to get going. I haven't had lunch yet" I stand up and grab my coat. She turns the recorder off.
