When Percy came downstairs for breakfast he saw saw his mother on the phone and it sounded like she was talking to his aunt and uncle.
Percy still doesn't like this house but made no objections so far as one of the bodyguards, upon Sally's request, put Percy in his high chair and hand him the breakfast his mother made for him.
He didn't need help cutting his pancakes but figured it might make his mother feel better instead of objecting to it.
One phone tucked into her ear and shoulder Sally used both hands to cut Percy's food.
When she was done Percy nodded his thanks to her and quietly ate his breakfast. He drank his orange juice that was there until all his food, well mostly anyway, was gone.
He looked for his mother to let him out but her back was turned away from him. He waited a few minutes but instead the conversation seemed to have stressed her and she moved to another room leaving Percy trapped in the high chair.
Not that he was exactly trapped.
So instead of waiting any longer he slowly got himself standing in the chair and instead of trying to go down along the sides, he stepped over the platform his food was on and lightly stepped onto the counter that was in front of the high chair.
Then, knowing the counter won't tip over and make him fall he grabbed the end of it while sitting on it and pushed off until his feet connected with the floor.
He underestimated the fall so when he connected he accidently tipped over and fell on his side. But it was nothing that wouldn't leave a bruise and Percy slowly got up and checked his arm where it mostly hit the floor.
He couldn't see the bruise just yet but he knew it was going to be fine. He walked away from the high chair and instead went to see what the two bodyguards were doing.
The two men were in the small living room watching some sort of sport eating some of the popcorn that was stocked in the kitchen, "Wanna watch with us kid?" One of the men asked spotting Percy.
Percy nodded and uncomfortable sat on one end to the couch with the other two men on the other.
His was slightly leaning on the small headrest that was at the end of the couch and silently watched the sport that was playing.
But instead of following along with the pictures he calculated things, where the ball may land, how fast the pitch was going, how hard the batter hit the ball. All this inside his head as it was zooming by.
Of course he didn't get very far in that seeing how it was advance science/math that he knew nothing about but he could make estimated guesses.
Percy calculated who would most likely win and in the end, he guessed correctly.
Some point during the game one of the men got a phone call and whispered something to the other dude that Percy couldn't tell what.
But when one man went to the kitchen and the other the bathroom Percy decided that now was time to be away from someone watching his every move and chose to quietly go outside through the backdoor.
Once he was outside alone he let loose a breath and chose to really look around outside, but there was something that caught his eye and that was in the mens black, small car.
A piece of cloth was sticking out of the trunk, small enough for no one to notice except Percy wasn't normal and instantly saw it.
He'd seen his aunt do something similar with paperclips on a lock and tried it out here, his curiosity going over rationality.
He grabbed two paper clips that he had on him, he meant to put them in his backpack but forgot, and bent them so they could go into the hole.
Tall enough to somewhat see inside he shifted them around a bit and when he got them in the correct places he turned and heard a click as the trunk opened slightly.
Percy using his strength pushed up the trunk a tiny bit so he could see inside but not enough for the men to notice.
Percy scurred back once he saw inside his eyes widening in horror, there laid two men in boxers and white undershirts laying their, hands and feet tied, duct tape on the mouths, and a small hole on the side of their head.
Percy knew what the hole on the side of their head meant and quickly closed the trunk making sure the two men who were definitely not their bodyguards didn't see what he was doing.
He had to tell someone, he couldn't risk his mother knowing if he told her she wouldn't be able to keep a straight face enough for someone to really get over.
He memorized his aunts number long ago. Percy decided to get a phone just before heading upstairs hoping his mother and him lived that long.
Some sucky way to spend his birthday.
He entered the house quietly noticing that no one knew he was gone, his mother seemed to be done with her conversation as the phone was back in it's place on the wall, the two men back on the couch sipping something that Percy remembered was called beer.
Keeping an eye on the men Percy grabbed a stool and hurled himself onto that then on the counter where he grabbed the phone.
He moved the stool back quietly and stuffed the phone in his hoodie pocket to hide it and made his way upstairs.
Once he got to his room he locked the door and made his way onto the bed and dialed the memorized number.
"This is costumery service how may I help you?" A voice on the other side that he recognized as his aunt and uncle's friend Maria, "Maria?" Percy asked somewhat quietly.
"Percy?" A confused voice asked on the other side not expecting the little boy to call them, "what's wrong?" she asked slightly worried and ignoring the look Fury and Phil sent her way upon hearing her say Percy.
"The two men babysitting us, I don't think you sent them." Percy said somewhat quietly.
"What do you mean?" Maria asked part of her heart clenching at what he might be implying.
"The car they have, there were two people nonmoving in the trunk. They didn't have very many clothes on them." Percy said and Maria took note that there wasn't any fear in his voice.
Maria indicated to Fury and Phil and tucked the phone in her shoulder, "What did they look like?" She asked
Percy started to describe the two men in a way so that Maria didn't worry about him traumatized. He heard Maria somewhat shout something in another language and he thought it was one of those bad words his mother taught him to never say.
She spoke to someone on the other line then very seriously asked, "Percy, no matter what don't go downstairs stay where you are and keep away from the two men. Does your mother know?"
"No." Percy said still calm for some odd reason.
It was quiet on the other side for a few minutes before Maria replied, "Ok, Percy I want you to stay on the line with me until Aunt Natasha comes to pick you up ok? No one else but your mother is allowed to get you. If your mother looks in distress because of the men tell me." Maria demanded
"Ok." Percy said still calm and to pass time started to read his favorite Dr.Seuss book to Maria.
