You know things are bad when you get turned into a Guinea Pig on a quest to save your friend's dying tree friend.
Not only get turned into a Guinea Pig was bad but when the Avengers find out and you're close to them. You get lettuce in your face a lot.
Not only the Avengers no, but apparently your new and healed cousin would find it hilarious and would throw lettuce in your room, put it in your bunk, and ultimately just try to annoy you with it
You also know things are bad when you best satyr friend says he was wearing a wedding dress trying to act like a female cyclops in hopes of not getting eaten.
Then there was also the sudden half-brother from your father's side of the family that is taller than you but younger.
Avengers found it hilarious and I hated them all when they talk about it and no matter how much I wanted to be angry at Tyson I couldn't.
But bringing him along in a place that the gods can't exactly control wasn't helping the whole summer vacation that technically was in the middle of the school year because a kid blamed you for blowing up the gym when it was in fact, monsters.
Almost getting eaten, getting turned into a Guinea Pig, finding your best male satyr friend wearing a dress, fighting monsters, getting the golden fleece for your sick friend, was just the highlight.
A girl coming back alive from being turned into a tree was probably the most shocking thing that happened that summer.
Well that, and riding Hippocampi who your half-brother named Rainbow was pretty shocking.
Overall, the best part of the whole trip, was Tony finding out that Tyson loved to build.
The face he mad when I showed Tony the watch that Tyson had built me, let's just say Tony went fangirl, Tyson freaked out and almost pulled a Thor and destroyed the living room.
Then started to cry because he destroyed the living room, then getting an ice-cream to help stop crying and promising no more fangirl moments.
Steve also very strictly (or at least tried to be strictly) to tell Tony to not pull Tyson into the lab to do some tests on him especially when I mentioned the scars on my bros back.
Let's not forget the moment Tyson met the Hulk on accident either. He called Hulk, Giant Green Buddy, and then tried to crush the Hulk in a hug which was hard because well...he was the Hulk.
I was just happy when the Hulk hadn't taken it as a threat and instead squeezed Tyson hard to make the kid smile laugh, then gasp for air. Then promptly yell, "Again." as he held his arms out for his green buddy to hug him.
Overall, meeting Tyson, a shocking new cousin, and meeting a Hippocampus named Rainbow was probably the best part of the summer that cut into my school year.
That and Grover in a dress. That was just hilarious enough that I wished I had a picture.
"I heard that Percy." Grover's voice said inside my head as we were connected because of what he did trying to save himself.
"Who said you weren't suppose to?" I challenged and smiled when I felt Grover roll his eyes in a way, "Anyway, two o'clock. Tony set up a small skate area downstairs. Are you inviting the others?" I asked smiling
"We're in." Grover confirmed and with that I felt the feeling of disconnection and smiled to myself. My group of friends have grown.
