{7 months later}
It's been seven months since I turned my humanity back on. I still live everyday with a small ounce of regret and guilt. I can still remember the day I flipped it back on. I couldn't stop sobbing. That's when Loki came into the cell and hugged me and held me while I cried. That's when I knew he had changed.
We went out, for months, searching for Marc. We came back from every quest empty handed. Nothing came up. I can't help, but feel as if I'm to blame. I still miss him. Who wouldn't? I just wish I could've told him that I liked him. Or maybe even loved him. What do I know, though? I'm only fifteen.
I close my eyes, standing in the exact spot where Marc and I always stayed. The balcony. I come here everyday, hoping one day, Demarcus will come back. Moments pass and I open my eyes again. I glance over my shoulder to Junior walking toward me.
"Hey, babe." Junior said, stretching his arm around me, "it's pretty cold out here. You okay?"
Junior and I have been dating for five months. He helped me get past everything that went wrong in my life. All the kills, Marc being gone, and turning my humanity back on. Everything. He's been there for me. I think I'm in love with him.
"Yeah, it is pretty chilly out here.. I was just..thinking." I reply quietly.
I look up at him, and he looks down to me. Both of us smiled and leaned in for a kiss. Releasing from the kiss, we head inside.
"Hey, you two lover-birds." Dad says, pouring himself a drink.
"Ha-ha. Very funny." I comment sarcastically.
"Sir, may I take your daughter out tonight? Maybe go to a fancy dinner, then walk around the city?" Junior asks, walking toward Dad.
I smile watching him be such a gentleman. I sit down, while Junior talks quietly to Dad. I sit between Steve and Anna.
"He's too sweet." Anna said.
"I know." I smiled.
"You two are really tying the knot, huh? Have you two..." Steve started.
"Hmm? Wait, what? No, no, no. Steve, why would you say that?" I ask.
He looked up at me, then to Junior.
"Just seems like you two would've already." Steve said.
"Steve, I'm fifteen. I mean, of course, it's come to mind..but no, not yet." I laugh.
Anna giggles along with the rest of the Avengers in the room. I shake my head as they do so.
"I'll see you later, Steph. Remember, eight o'clock." Junior winks, going down the elevator.
"You better go get ready for that date." Dad shuddered at the thought, "it's already six-thirty."
~~an hour and thirty minutes later~~
I glared at my reflection in the mirror. You'd never be able to tell I've ever killed anyone. Innocence lies on my face. Regret and guilt spread like a wild fire through my veins.
I wear a black long sleeve dress that frills out to my mid-thigh. Along with black heels. I curled my hair and clipped my bangs back on the right side of my head. Thankfully we'll be inside most of the time, it got pretty chilly outside.
A knock at my door turns my attention away from my reflection.
"It's open." I yell.
Dad walks in and searches my appearance. He shakes his head.
