Chapter 6:

Catherine's POV:

I dreadfully walk to the cafeteria, a few minutes after Dr. Jenkins left.

I honestly, didn't feel like eating. How could I? Zayn swore someone blocked his powers, and I don't know if I could trust him about it. My mind told me not to, but my heart told me otherwise. Zayn has lied about a lot of things, but never something that could hurt me. But, honestly! Why am I giving him the benefit of the doubt? He put me here in the first place.

Shaking my thoughts away, I head over and grab a tray and get food from the ladies serving it. I then go and sit at my usual seat, and wait for Bethany to show up. A few minutes later, she shows up and sits next to me.

"It happened again." She says, in a low voice.

"Again? God, Bethany! I'm so sorry. You don't deserve it." That's all I could really say, but I wish I could do more.

She nods, "I am guessing he hasn't gone after you yet?"

"No, he hasn't. Are you sure he said my name?" I ask.

"Positive. I wouldn't keep thinking he won't go after you. There isn't a person these pricks haven't raped." She scowls in disgust.

I sigh, "Maybe so."

She smiles, changing the subject. "Why the hell are you here anyway?"

"Because they say I'm schizophrenic. You already know this." I reply, taking a bite of the haystack on my tray.

"Obviously, but why? Why did they label you that?" She asks, curiously.

"Well, I moved into a new house with my parents about three years ago. While I was there, my parents went on a trip and they blamed me for it, saying that I murdered them and that they had proof. The thing is, while I lived there, I met some people. But they aren't like us. They're dead."

"Like ghosts and demons?"

"Exactly. I met a man named Harry Styles, and his friends Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik."

"Which one was which?"

"Harry was a ghost, and so was his friends Louis and Niall. Liam, he's a demon. And Zayn, he's the Devil." I explain, hoping I don't seem crazy.

But, Bethany looks fascinated. "And?"

And so I tell her everything. How Harry was the one who killed my parents, how I got possessed, falling for both Zayn and Harry, Louis becoming my best friend, meeting Eleanor, them falling in love, Eleanor making Louis alive, Arabella, Markus, and about Marley.

"Does Zayn still come to see you?" She asks.

"Yes." I reply, nodding.

"Do you still love them?"

Her question catches me off guard. I've never actually thought about it. Do I? Could I after all that's happened?

"I don't know."

"You know, you still love them or you wouldn't have said that. You either love someone or you don't. And maybe it's confusing right now. But if you really didn't love them, you would've said no." She says, picking at her food.

"Maybe." I reply, getting up and throwing the remainder of my food away.

As soon as I get back to my room, I see Zayn sitting on my bed.

"Hi." He says.

"Hi." I reply, sitting down on the bed near him.

"Ariana found out who the witch was, and we traced it to the person who hired her."

"Who?" I ask, facing him.

"Her names Selena."

"And who's the one who hired her?"

"Vincent Mealin."

I furrow my eyebrows, "I don't know a Vincent Mealin."

"I do, though." He frowns.

"Who the hell is he?"

"He was a really good friend. He stood up for me when God was banishing me and he got it worse. I promised him I would look for him, and I tried. But I could never find him. I regret it to this day, he helped me and cared for me, and I left him helpless."

"So now he's after me?"

"I'm afraid so. I'm sorry, Catherine." He whispers, quietly.
