Chapter 39:

Catherine's POV:

I sit in my home, and wait for Zayn to get Ariana to my house. She walks in, "You owe me, Zayn."

"No, you owed me, and this is my favor." He smirks.

"God, dammit. Fine, fine! Do you have the book?"

"Yes."

"Okay, let's do this."

I sit on the couch, my heart beating faster every minute.

"Are you sure?" She asks me, and I nod.

Then the ritual begins, and my eyes close. What seems only a few minutes later, I open my eyes, and see I'm in my house.

Was this Hell? Did the spell even work?

I walk into the kitchen, and see Zayn.

"Did it work?" I ask, confused.

"Yes."

"Where are we?"

"In the Gray." He replies.

"What?"

"It's the place between life and death. We're in the gray area."

"How does it work?" I ask, my eyebrows furrowed.

"It's like the real world but just us, and whoever we want." He grins.

"So we can travel, and all?" I tease.

"Yes, of course. But I have a surprise."

I follow him outside, and gasp when I see everyone. Eleanor, Louis, Niall, Louis, Liam, Loki, and Thor.

"Oh my God!" Tears spring to my eyes, as I run over to everybody, and hug them.

"I'm sorry." Eleanor cries.

"It's fine, I'm sorry I was mad."

Eleanor is pulled off of me, and Louis hugs me tighter. "I missed you, Catherine."

"I miss you, too!"

When I greet everybody, Zayn grabs my hand, "I have one request."

He pulls me to our room, "And, that is?"

"What I've been waiting for." He winks, and closes the bedroom door.
