"Are you sure Beacon Hills is the best place for you?" Ella Jacobs asked her older sister Sophie as Sophie ran around her room throwing what clothes, personal items and sentimental belongings she could fit into the three duffle bags on her bed. "A werewolf born family lived there until a hunter wiped them out. What if there are hunters still there?"
"I know what happened with the Hales but something is drawing me back there. I can't explain it, I just know it's where I'm meant to be." Sophie tells her.
"I just don't want to see you hurt, after what that psycho Argent bitch did. You can't die too." Ella frowns frustrated at her sister. She knew she wasn't going to win this argument. Sophie will still go to beacon hills and nothing will stop her.
"If I do die at least I'll be with my family." Sophie sighs.
"You are with your family."
"Not after what they did to you!" Sophie shouts at her angrily then repeats herself in a calm but heartbroken tone. "Not after what they did to you."
"It wasn't just their fault." Ella tries to remind her.
"It was mine too." She says barely louder than a whisper but Ella hears her and glares at the older Jacobs, wanting to slap her. "I was supposed to protect you, but I failed. What kind of sister does that make me?"
"You're the best sister a girl could ask for. My death isn't your fault." Ella growled at her. Sophie was ridden with guilt when it came to Ella's death even though she knew there was nothing she could do. Ella was going to die either way. "Look I can't do much and I know I can't stop you walking into your own uncertain death but I'll be there for you just like I am now."
"I'm not going to die." Sophie tells her younger sister.
Ella gets a determined look in her eyes. "I'm not going to let you."
