"Go for your run in the woods, you'll find it there."

Ella's words were stuck Sophie's head as she ran through the woods. Nothing out of the ordinary stuck out to her, not until she came across a partially burned down house.

She stopped running and cautiously stepped towards the house. She recognized it as the old Hale house. She didn't personally know the Hale family when she lived in Beacon Hills. She knew they were a big family and kept to themselves most of the time. She went to school with the boy, Derek, she remembered his name. She didn't know they were werewolves back then, she didn't know they existed until she was turned.

She'd heard stories through her old pack about what had happened to the Hale family. It was a tragedy. There had only been three survivors and the rumour was that an Argent, a well-known werewolf hunting family, was behind the fire and the murder of the ones who died.

Sophie stopped walking as she got to the bottom step. She could feel someone watching her again. This time when she looked around she a handsome man a few feet away from her. She froze as she looked into his pale green eyes. There was a coldness to them as he glared at her. She felt intimidated just from the look on his face. She knew now that she shouldn't be there.

"What are you doing here?" he questioned her, his tone was soft but had a sharpness to it as he continued to glare at her.

"I-I- I'm sorry," she begun to stutter. "I'll go now."

She went to walk pass him when she felt fingers wrap around her upper arm, stopping her. The man wasn't glaring at her now. Instead a look of confusion graced his handsome features.

"Who are you?"

"Sophie Jacobs." She replied, trying to swallow her nerves. She was never one to allow someone to intimidate her but there was something different about this man, something that made her feel intimidated just by his presence. His eyebrows creased as if he was trying to remember something.

"You use to live here." It was more of a statement then a question which surprised Sophie. She only had one friend in this small town. She wasn't or got everyone's attention. She was just Sophie the No-Body.

Sophie nodded. "A long time ago."

"You're a werewolf. You weren't back then." He said, confusion still written on his face.

"I was turned." She told him as she pulled her arm from out of his grip. "I should really get going before it gets dark."

Before he could say anything else, she started running back to where her car was parked at the reserve entrance.

Sophie was glad to be home again. After her encounter with the strange man at the old Hale house, she'd run back to her car deciding to pick up a pizza on the way home. Her plans for the night consisted of eating the pizza, showering and either watching a movie or reading some more of the book she was currently reading, before going to sleep.

She hadn't made any friends in the few weeks she's been in Beacon Hills, choosing to keep to herself for now. It hadn't stopped her from hearing the whispers. Beacon Hills is a small town. Everyone knows everyone here. If you grew up here then everyone also knows your family history. Sophie was glad no one recognized her yet. Her family history wasn't as straight forward as many people think. There is a reason she and her infant sister moved from Beacon Hills to New York.

Stepping inside her apartment, Sophie shuts and locks the door behind her. She places the pizza on the table and goes into the refrigerator to grab herself a can of Dr. Pepper. She pulls back the tab and takes a sip before placing it on the table next to the pizza. She turns on her TV and sits at the table opening the pizza box.
