Sophie woke with a gasp, her heart thumping against her chest, her body drenched in sweat. Slamming her hand on the button to shut off the obnoxious sound of her alarm, her heart rate slowly lowered back to normal. The 25-year-old hasn't been sleeping as much as she should be sleeping. Nightmares have been plaguing her dreams since returning back to Beacon Hills three weeks ago. Throwing the blankets from her body, she got out of bed and went into the kitchen.
In the three weeks she's been in the small town she'd found herself a nice little apartment close to the animal clinic where she's starting her first day of work as a veterinarian assistant. She was excited to starting her new job.
She ate her breakfast and went into the bathroom to shower. Her apartment wasn't much to look at, but it was perfect for her. It came at a reasonable price she could afford. It has two bedrooms, one bathroom and the kitchen and living room were one large room separated by a breakfast bar. The color scheme was a little dull, but she added a little color with her furniture and decor.
Once she showered, she got dressed into a deep purple button up blouse, a pair of black jeans that hugged her lower body perfectly and a black cardigan. She tied her raven black hair into a ponytail and applied a small amount of make-up. Satisfied with her look, she walks out of her bedroom and back into the living room.
She picks up her keys and handbag and walks out to her car, locking the front door on her way out. Getting into her car she makes the short drive to the animal clinic, ready to start her first day.

Sophie hastily wipes away her tears as she hears the bell above the door chime. She let go of the dog's paw, stepping back from the table the Labrador named Bilks was laying on. She always cried when she took away an animal's pain. She likes seeing the animal relax and feel at ease when their pain is taken away. It made her feel more human than monster.
She took Bilks back to the kennel he was spending the night in and was about to walk out to the front when a teenage boy walked into the room. She paused when she picked up on his scent. She distinguished that he was a werewolf and by the look on his face he could tell she was one too.
"You must be Scott McCall?" she asked the teenager being the first to speak. When he nodded but didn't say anything she continued, "I'm Sophie Jacobs, Deaton's new assistant. He's told me about you."
"He's never mentioned you," Scott said. His tone wasn't rude. Sophie could tell he was confused.
"Must have slipped his mind," Sophie said feeling slightly awkward but put on a polite smile. Deacon only mentioned that there was a young man that worked for him, tidying up the clinic and helping where he could. He never told her the teenager is a werewolf. After grabbing her cardigan and handbag, she turned back to Scott. "Well anyway, my shift just ended so I'm going to head home. It was nice meeting you."
"Yeah it was nice meeting you too," Scott told her, still slightly confused to what was going on. Sophie gave him another polite smile and left the clinic.
As she walked out to her car, she could feel a pair of eyes on her. She looked around seeing the car park was empty, no one was there. A bad vibe went through her body. Feeling a little frightened, she quickly unlocked her car and got into the driver's seat, locking the door as soon as she shut it.
"Are you sure beacon hills was the best place to move," Ella's voice came from the back seat, making Sophie shriek and jerk in her seat.
"God Ella! Stop doing that!"
Ella ignored her older sister's fright as she leaned through the gap between the middle of the front seats. "You have frequent nightmares, which has been the same one on repeat, might I add. You've come across another werewolf, a teen one at that. Now someone is watching you."
"If this is an attempt to get me to leave, it's not going to happen," Sophie glared at the ghost of her blue-eyed strawberry blonde sister.
"I know, but I have to try. It's dangerous here and I'm not going to be the only one to tell you that."
Sophie turned to face her sister, a look of confusion clearly written on her face. "What are you talking about? What do you mean? What do you know?"
"I don't know much and I can't say," Ella told her.
Sophie glared at Ella again as she snapped at her angry and frustrated. "Why not?!"
"Because if you knew what is to happen you'll take it into your own hands. Everything has to happen on its own."
"Then why are you trying to get me to leave?" Sophie's glare was still focused on her. She was angry Ella appeared to know why she was here. She was irritated that Ella was still attempting to get her to leave without a real explanation.
"I'm trying to protect you," Ella stated calmly.
"Well stop! You know I'm going to eventually find everything out."
"I also can't tell you because it'll change everything. You need to find out on your own..." Ella paused for a moment. "But I can give you a hint."
"What is it?" Sophie asked, less irritated than she was a few moments ago.
"Go for your run in the woods, you'll find it there," She disappeared before Sophie could question her more. Sophie heaved a sigh knowing she wouldn't get more than that. Placing the key in the ignition, she drove home thinking about what she could find on her run that could lead to her finding out why she's here.
