"Earth to Sophie," Ella snapped her fingers in front of Sophie's face breaking her away from her day dream. Sophie didn't realize Ella was in the room until now.

"What do you want?" she glared at the ghost of her younger sister. She was still mad at her for the other day. She thought she deserved to know what was going to happen to her and why she was here. "Here to not tell me anything more?"

"Please don't be mad at me. I would tell you if I could," the blue-eyed blonde sighed. "I get your frustration but the ball is already rolling. You've already met Derek joined his pack."

Sophie scoffed, rolling her eyes. "He's not an Alpha, he doesn't have a pack. He just doesn't want to be an Omega. We'll be stronger together."

"What do you think of him?" Ella asked her, ignoring what she said.

"Why does it matter what I think of him?" She asked the ghost who was now standing across the examination table from her.

"You two have to stick together now."

"Because we're helping each other."

"Right, finding out who the Alpha is and why you're being drawn back here," Ella said with a slightly bored tone. Sophie glared at her again.

"Since you know so much, do you know who the Alpha is?" she asked giving her a questioning look. She was hopeful her sister could give her another hint.

"That's one of the things I don't know," Ella said honestly, with a sympathetic smile. She really wished she could tell Sophie more of what she knew. She didn't like seeing her sister as lost and confused as she was. "But I do know, and I can tell you this, the Alpha doesn't just want Derek and Scott. He wants you too."

Sophie stood frozen with shock. She was puzzled to why the Alpha would want her. Aside from gaining more power from extending his pack, she couldn't think of a reason to why he would want her.

A dog howling from the kennels caught her attention. She looked towards the door where the kennels were and then back to where her sister was to see the younger Jacobs had disappeared again, leaving Sophie with more questions than answers once again.

"Hey Deaton?" she said grabbing the older man's attention as she walked into the reception and waiting room area. He was going over the forms of their latest patients.

"Yes?" he replied putting the form he was reading down and looked at her.

"Is it okay if I take my lunch break a little earlier than normal?" she asked him. "I need to go sort a few things out."

"Of course," he smiled and nodded. "Take as long as you need. I'll call you if I need you back here."

She returned his smile with a grateful one of her own. She took off her white coat and grabbed her handbag before leaving the animal clinic.

Pulling up to the old Hale home, Sophie saw the Sheriff's department combing the area. She noticed an area was taped off with yellow crime scene tape. A mound of dirt piled next to a hole in the ground, the scent of death coming from the area. She didn't need to guess to know that was where Derek had buried the half of his sister's body the morgue didn't have.

"Can I help you, Miss?" A deputy got her attention as he walked over to her. He was young, looking around the same age as her.

"I'm looking for Derek Hale," she told him, a sinking feeling in her stomach told her she wouldn't like what he was about to say.

"He's been arrested and taken down to the station," He told her. She felt her stomach drop. "May I ask how you know him?"

"He's -uh- he's my friend," she replied. It wasn't exactly the truth which she couldn't tell the deputy. She needed to get Derek out of the station. He was innocent and she really needed to talk to him.
