Liam was fast asleep in the reclining chair of his daughter's room, the little girl cuddled in his lap, the book they were reading spread open on the floor. It was only 8:30, but he had a long day at work, while the little girl had lots of fun running around with Mommy all day.

He was shook awake when he felt his phone vibrating in his back pocket. Careful not to startle his little girl, he set her down gently on her toddler bed and went out into the hall to answer the phone.

"Harry?"

"Dude, were you sleeping?"

"Does it matter?"

"Whatever, there's a huge emergency, I need you to come over now."

"Really?"

"I just said it was an emergency."

Liam sighed. "I'll be over there in a few minutes. If you need an ambulance, you should call them before you call me."

"It's not that kind of emergency."

He hung up the phone and jumped in the car, heading to Harry's house.

Practically as soon as he hit the doorbell, he was pulled into the enormous house, watching his frantic friend panic in front of him.

"You're the only one who could help me," Harry grabbed Liam's wrist, making him hiss in pain from scratching his watch against his skin.

Liam was dragged into the kitchen of the house and saw something sitting on the counter top. Something he's seem a million times in his lifetime.

A baby carrier.

Laying next to it was a manila folder. The only other random thing in the kitchen was Harry's phone in the corner of the room, shattered into tiny pieces.

He walked closer to the carrier and his eyes widened at the sight, a little baby with big green eyes staring right back at him.

"Oh god."

Okay this is like five years in the future so that's why Liam has a daughter. This is also an AU story so One Direction didn't exist, the guys are just best friends.

So, this story will probably have really short updates, and if they are long, they'll be really slow updates just bc I'm lazy and it takes me forever to write things.

thank you for reading!
