Two months have gone by since Riley was dropped off at Harry's doorstep, so the idea of parenthood was partly sinking in.

Today, Lauren and Harry had to bring Riley to her seven month check-up that was required by her doctor. Lauren was never a fan of missing class, but if it made Harry feel better that she was there, then she would never argue.

The two felt very awkward sitting in the waiting room of the physician's office. Children playing games and yelling at each other. Germs were everywhere around them, not a good thing to have around a small baby. The mothers of the kids looked a lot older than both Lauren and Harry, making them feel self-conscious. Alana and Liam had warned the pair, but of course they were idiots and ignored them.

A lot of mothers were giving Harry and Lauren a look of disgust and were whispering to each other. Lauren didn't mind it since it was something people did a lot when she was around Harry. He was absolutely stunning, so of course eyes were always on him. Lauren always assumed they were whispering about why someone as flawless was with someone was flaw-full as herself. She never talked down about herself until she was around the breathtaking man sitting next to her.

Harry leaned over to whisper some words of encouragement into her ear, "They're thirty-five year old women sitting in a children's doctor's office acting like they've never seen young parents before in their lives. There's nothing you should feel embarrassed about around them."

That made Lauren chuckle a little, as she looked up with a devilish smirk sent in the direction of the women wearing their Juicy Couture velvet track suit and talking about their new trainer, while their kids wee hitting each other over the head with a plastic truck.

"Riley. Riley Styles," A nurse dressed in a pair of scrubs with Minnie mouse all over the front of them.

Harry and Lauren had stood up and Harry had adjusted the carrier on his arm. Lauren silently chuckled to herself seeing Harry acting like a real adult. Yes, he is 26, but most people his age are out drinking and hanging out with friends all the time. I mean, look at Barney from How I Met Your Mother.

This caused even more eyes to be on the little family in front of them. Lauren was able to ignore them as Harry's hand captured her's on the walk down to the small room.

"She looks completely healthy, and since she's now had these vaccinations, she might get a little sick, just because that it is common after getting the vaccine, but other than that, she is a very healthy little girl," The doctor said, scribbling something onto a clipboard and sticking the pen in the pocket of his scrubs.

Little Riley's face was bright red in anger, and had a small SpongeBob SquarePants bandage over the spot that the nurse prodded a needle into.

As Lauren and Harry got everything together and put Riley into the carrier, Harry said he was going down to the bathroom so he could call Liam in private.

"Hey dude, what's up?"

"Can you meet me at the shop soon?"

"Yes, Harry. If you forgot I happen to have a family."

"Yes, Liam. But you promised that whe-"

"I remember what I promised, man. I'll be there in an hour."

"Thanks, Liam."

"Yeah, whatever."

Harry hung up the phone and walked outside to Lauren and Riley who are now waiting in the car for him to get in the car.

"You alright? You were in there a while," Lauren chuckled, buckling herself in.

Harry rolled his eyes, "Ha ha. Very funny."

The ride home was comfortably silent. All the screaming and crying Riley had done back at the doctor's had worn her out and she was peacefully sleeping in the back.

Lauren broke the silence after a while of just hearing the soft static of the radio. "Do you remember what's coming up soon?"

Harry kept his eyes on the road but engaged in conversation with the girl sitting next to him, "My mum's birthday?"

"No, that was yesterday."

"Shit, I need to call her."

"Anything else?"

"Liam's birthday was two months ago, your's isn't coming up; Alana's isn't; little Riley's isn't ei-"

"No, our anniversary dumbass. It's in three weeks."

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot."

"Almost?"

Harry chuckled and shook his head at Lauren. "Of course I didn't forget. I was just kidding with you to try and annoy you."

Lauren flicked her finger against Harry's almost invisible ear. "Well you succeeded."

After stopping at a red light, Harry looked down to Lauren's fingers that were tapping to her own beat against the arm rest/compartment thing in between the two of them.

Lauren rolled her eyes playfully at the large dork to her right. "You know you don't need to sit there and act like you want to hold my hand instead of just grabbing it. You act like we're on our first date," She chuckled and threaded her small frail fingers in between Harry's large ones.

Harry smiled looking down at the bright blue nail polish that was chipping away at Lauren's fingernails, until they heard a car horn from behind them which made him realize that the light had turned green.

"Dumbass," Lauren snorted, burying her face into her cell phone.

Harry decided to ignore her comment and make this a peaceful car ride home since it's one of the rare ones when Riley is sleeping the entire ride.

They were happy. Even with a random baby coming into the picture, they were able to make it work out. That's all they really cared about anyway. Nothing could come between them now. (A/N: Not trying to reference songs so stfu)

"At least you didn't have to actually have a baby like I did. Now that is even worse than being trapped in a room with your boyfriend when he's bored."

"Hey come on! You love my jokes, Alana!"

"Yeah okay," Alana rolled her eyes, putting another grape in her mouth.

"Riley cried when you told you last one, Baby," Lauren laughed, walking over and kissing his cheek.

"Whatever," He stated, crossing his arms and scrunching his nose up to keep from smiling.

Liam and Harry's eyes were glued to the telly, the only thing they cared about was the football game in front of them.

"You men are disgusting," Alana said through a mouthful of grapes.

"You don't much room to be talking, sweet cheeks," Liam giggled, looking over at Alana who just flipped him off.

"I'm pregnant, I have an excuse," Alana scoffed throwing a small packet of fruit snacks at her husband's head.

"Oh you're pregnant? I just thought you had one too many burritos for lunch today," Harry laughed, earning a smack on the back of the head from Lauren.

"Ha ha. Very funny."

A cry erupted from the baby monitor they had sitting on the coffee table in front of them. "Go get your kid," Lauren told Harry, shooing him to go upstairs. "You've cause enough damage in the last few minutes anyway."

Harry smirked and ran up the stairs, because Lauren had no idea her new present was sitting right in front of their house.
