I saw a vision. A dream. A memory.
I watched curiously as everyone was hanging streamers and blowing balloons. Riker was holding me: playing with me, and just chatting. "Do you know what day it is, Rei?" he asked. Being a baby, I couldn't really respond so I just stared. "Today's your birthday!" he exclaimed. "That's right, Rei. And today's going to be extra special!" Rydel said after she walked in. She took me into her arms and sat me on her pink tutu-ed lap.
"Delly, the party doesn't start until twelve. It's 10:30. So what are you doing already dressed?" Riker asked. "It takes a while for me to look this good," Rydel said with a smirk.
"Rydel, you always look great. Now the rest of you have to go change. I already laid all the clothes on your beds and Ryland's already ready. Everyone's wearing pink today so we'll all be matching," Mama said.
As everyone went to their rooms to change, Mama took Rydel and I to our room to get me ready. As Rydel went to the closet to pick out my special birthday outfit, Mama started to brush my hair. Well my peach fuzz, anyway.
I got dressed in my outfit. It was a rainbow tutu and a white blouse with a unicorn on it. Rydel sat me on the bed to get a good look at me.
"Omg! She's so cute, Mama!" Rydel exclaimed. "She's just precious," Mama said. She looked between Rydel and I. "Wow you two really are growing up, aren't you? I can't believe Rei is already one," she said. I could tell she was tearing up. Rydel walked over to Mama and gave her a hug. I raised my arms and closed and opened my hands, telling them I wanted a hug, too. Mama chuckled. "It's amazing how bright you are, Sweetie," she said as she picked me up. "Isn't she such a happy Reignbow?"
