'So first of all, there's no need to tell me if I'm getting near something, my cane will hit it. Second of all, I can feel most things out. In fact that is part of my ability. When I'm touching an object I get a vivid picture of it in my head. So, after about a week or two I'll have figured out pretty much the entire layout of this campus.'
'Alrighty then,' I replied. That may have seemed like a really rude thing Augusta did but in my opinion that was one of the best things she could have possibly done. She established boundaries for me while setting goals for herself.
'One more thing...'
'Yes?' I asked. I was happy with anything that would help me.
'I can also hear extremely well so I can follow your voice.
'Ok thanks! That's a great help.'
There was a moment of silence while we sat there. Neither of us were particularly good at making friends. This just made us perfect for each other.
'Breakfast then?' I asked.
'Sure,' was the simple response.
'What is your first class?' I asked.
'History Studies,' Augusta was very bad with words, I think.
'Ok...I'm at the other end of the building...At breakfast I'll ask Mr. Bilden if I can just tag along with you for today.'
'Ok.'
'Does your schedule change throughout the week.' It was a Tuesday.
'No.'
'So all of your classes are everyday?'
'Yes, only 6 classes really fit my ability plus the daily study hall.' We worked with an eight period schedule including lunch. Student in Year 1 have lunch after 2nd period, Year 2 after 3rd, Year 3 after 4th, Year 4 after 5th, and Trainers and Teachers after 6th.
Our schedule worked like this:

'All the teachers live in a room off their own classroom. All of the classrooms are left unlocked at night although the teachers usually lock their doors. This is because students leave their papers in filing folders in the classroom and keep the textbooks in their room, so you don't have to carry your papers or books. With the classroom door unlocked we can get our work and can knock on the teachers' doors to ask questions if necessary.' I explained.
'Ok.' Was I ever going to get more than one word out of that girl?!
