Chapter 9: 'What are you-' (Katie)

Time passed.

My slight panic attack had gone away. But I know for a fact that it will come back.

"What happened to you earlier? You never told me." Josh asked, breaking our silence.

"Oh, nothing." I lied.

He doesn't need to know. And plus, I don't need to burden him with more things to worry about.

"I don't think it was nothing. It looked like you were haveing a panic attack."

I shook my head at him.

"You were, weren't you?"

I didn't answer him.

I don't know how much time had passed since he asked that. Too tell you the truth, I don't even know if its night or day. For all I know it could be three am.

So you're thinking what about Josh's phone? Yeah, well, lets just say it had died, then got smashed. Along with a few of my things.

Like the contents in my purse had gotten thrown around the elevator when we crashed. And well, I didn't really bother to pick some of them back up.

It looks like a tornado hit inside here.

At lease my clothes and stuff didn't come out of my suit case. That would of been awkward.

Speaking of awkward. I had to change in front of him. Well, I just changed my shirt. There was blood and stuff all over it. I don't know how it happened. But the pain in my side was a huge cut. And it was bleeding. I felt kind of stupid with a shirt tied around my waist. Yeah he had to help me with that. It was weird.

So, not only did I just meet him, and we got stuck in an elevator together, that crashed. He also seen me in my bra.

Like I said, it was awkward.

"Hey, how much water is left in that water bottle you had?" Josh said, taking me out of my thoughts.

I looked over at it. Damn, it was less then half.

"Not much."

All he did was nod in response.

"How long do you think it's going to take them to get us out?" I asked.

"I don't know. I've been wondering that too."

"I wonder what time it is?" I asked, absentmindedly.

"Hmmm..... I don't know."

"It doesn't feel late."

"True."

"So then it can't be. And not morning either."

"Afternoon?"

"Maybe."

"Hey, hows the side?" Josh asked randomly, later on.

I grimaced. "Hurts." I replied.

"Let me see."

I gave him a questionable look.

"I just want to see how bad it is." He said holding his hands up in defence.

"Uh huh. You sure you just don't want to see me in my bra again?"

He chuckled and shook his head.

I started to laugh with him.

He's a guy, so of course he does. But he's not going to admit it, 'cause there are more things to worry about, at this time.
