"The woods?! What?!" Jayden said, confused. Pax got up and walked over to Jayden, Chase, and Aaron. Pax suddenly spoke, his voice pubescent and monotone.
"Well, we can't try them out somewhere with people." Pax said plainly, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Pax held up a black vial. "This one's mine." He held up a red one, a blue one, and a green one. He stuffed the vials in his backpack.
"Okayyyy, now that you have your drugs, we can go to the woods to test them out!" Aaron said, jumping up and down slightly.
"Woooooo, getting high." Pax said, monotone. He unenthusiastically raised one arm in a fist pump, then brought it back down, putting his hands in his pockets. He paced over to the couch, put his laptop in his backpack, and put on the backpack. They all got ready to go to Rosswood park, where there was a large patch of woods. They all set out on their bikes. Upon reaching the park, Aaron said,
"Okay, I will say two things before we go in. One: That the syringes are not full of drugs. And two: That what happens after we use them stays among us. Everybody got it? Well, everybody except Pax. Pax already knows the plan." Pax just shrugged, staying silent as he had for the whole of the trip. They began to ride into the deepest part of the woods, and while Aaron, Chase, and Jayden obviously had not been here, it was obvious due to their frantic glancing around, Pax, just as obviously, had. He took the lead, swerving around rocks without much difficulty. Pax raised his hand for a halt. They all screeched to a halt. He spoke quietly.
"Hear that?"
Aaron and friends had trouble hearing anything. Pax, however, heard a faint thump.
"I... Don't hear anything, Pax..." Aaron said, coming closer to the front. Aaron was dully aware of a blunt object connecting with the back of her head, and Jayden pedaling away at full speed. Aaron said faintly.
"Jayden... Come... Back..." The warm embrace of unconsciousness enveloped her.
