(Soundtrack: Track 11: Coming Home by Skylar Grey)
I slowly opened my eyes and groaned at the massive head ache I had. I opened my eyes and groaned yet again at the brightness of the outside of my eye lids.
"Matilda?!" I heard a voice.
I blinked a few times to get my eyes used to the sunlight and I looked straight into a pair of magnificent green eyes.
"Harry?" I asked groggily.
"Oh my God, Matilda! I thought you were dead! You scared me so bad!" Harry yelled pulling me into a bone crushing hug though I still felt dizzy. He then pulled back and held me at an arms length distance before taking one of his hands off my shoulder and pointing his finger in my face, "Don't you ever do that to me again, Matilda Rebecca Watson, or I swear to Merlin-"
"Harry, stop scaring the poor girl!" Fred and George laughed pulling Harry off of me and trapping me in a two way hug.
"We're so glad you're okay!" They yelled bouncing around.
"BOYS! YOU PUT THAT POOR GIRL DOWN THIS INSTANT OR SO HELP ME! LOOK AT HER! SHES DIZZY THE POOR THING IS! Come on dearie, let's get you some food." Mrs Weasley said taking my hand but I looked down at my attire to see myself in a very large t shirt and shorts underneath.
I ran back to the couch grabbing the blanket and lazily wrapping it around my shoulders and holding the ends together at the front.
It was lunch time I presumed and saw that she had sandwiches. She made me a jelly sandwich and the others had ham and cheese.
"Matilda. You need to eat." Harry muttered nudging my shoulder.
It took me a while to realize I was staring at my sandwich.
"He's right, you know. You're a stick, you are." Ron said from across the table and I tried to ignore the fact he had ham hanging out of his mouth but he slurped it back in.
"Thank you, Ron." I glared.
"The pleasures all mine!" Ron said rather smugly.
I nodded and lifted the sandwich to my lips and took a bite.
"Ah, Matilda! It was quite a scare you gave us the other night. Are you feeling better?" Mr Weasley asked sitting down.
"Yes sir. Thank you for coming when you did. Merlin knows where I'd be if you hadn't have come." I spoke softly, picking up my sandwich and placing it in my mouth taking out a small piece of it and chewing.
"It was our pleasure, though I would've preferred you tell us ahead of time. We think of you as a daughter ourself and we don't blame you for what happened but you shouldn't have been scared to tell us. We would've understood." Mrs Weasley smiled patting my head.
"Thank you Mrs Weasley and I think of you as a mother also but I'm afraid that I can't stay." I informed them and they all looked at me with wide eyes and some dropped their sandwiches onto their plate in surprise while Ron choked on his ham.
"Well why not?" The twins asked.
"The girls at the orphanage. They need me now more than ever. Merlin knows what she's doing to them this very moment." I shuddered.
To my surprise Mr and Mrs Weasley looked at each other and smiled and so did everyone else at the table.
"Don't you worry about the girls at the orphanage," Mrs Weasley smiled, "We took care of that problem."
"They took the girls to a safe orphanage in America. They all wanted to tell you that they love you and they're going to miss you." Harry said smiling.
"What do you mean? I'm still going back to the orphanage in a few days." I asked confused.
"Actually, that's what we were going to talk to you about." Ginny said smiling.
Mr Weasley got up and stood next to his wife with an arm around her waist and she did the same as they smiled brightly.
"We would like to adopt you." They said at the same time.
Everyone was now standing around the table, smiling hopefully and waiting for my response.
My eyes teared up and I covered my mouth with my hands ignoring the fact that my blanket had fallen. Everyone laughed at my expression.
I stepped over the stool behind me and ran up to the couple hugging them and basically sobbing on them and I heard Mrs Weasley sniffle too. Soon all the Weasley's and Harry had me in a group hug. Some were crying and some were sobbing but all in all we were a big happy family.
"I have a family!" I sobbed onto my new dad's robe. He laughed and cradled me as I continued to cry.
"I can't believe it!" I continued to sob.
After a few minutes we broke the hug and I wiped my eyes.
I was suddenly pulled into another two way hug once again.
"We have another sister." The twins chorused jumping around with me in their arms and I laughed hugging them back.
"I have brothers!" I laughed squeezing them.
"Hey what about me?" Ron asked grabbing me from them and squeezing me while laughing.
"I have another brother!" I laughed squeezing him just as hard as he did me.
"Who would've known-" he stopped because I knew he was cut off by himself crying.
After Harry pried Ron off of me without warning Ginny came at me full force, "I have an older sister!"
"I have a younger sister!" I giggled and we hugged.
Let's just say that the rest of the day was filled with hugs and I was introduced to my other two new brothers, Bill and Charlie.
Percy was very excited but also very busy so our hug didn't last as long as the others did but it was still a while.I'm now in Ron and Harry's room and we're just sitting on their beds talking.
"I can't believe you're my sister!" Ron said excitedly for about the tenth time tonight and I just laughed.
"Yep. It's pretty awesome!" I exclaimed being very happy myself. "I think this is the happiest day of my life."
"I'm happy for you." Harry smiled patting my leg.
"Thank you Harry." I said smiling at him.
"So where do I sleep now?" I asked them.
"In here of course! Why do you think we got the extra bed? There wasn't enough room in Ginny's room unfortunately." Ron replied in a duh manner.
"Okay." I said holding up my hands in surrender.
"So on a totally different note, you look different. A LOT DIFFERENT." Harry said emphasizing ' A LOT'
I chuckled a bit.
"I second that. You look very different how did all of this happen in just two months." Ron asked.
"Magic." I smirked.
"I'll say! You look very very very different." Harry stated again making me blush.
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" I asked skeptically.
"O-oh. I-it's awesome!" He exclaimed shyly.
"Thank you. So do either of you know when Hermione's coming?" I asked them.
"The day after tomorrow." Ron stated.
"But that's the day we leave to go to the Quidditch World Cup." I said.
"She's supposed to be coming early that morning." Harry stated.
"Oh." I said playing with my fingers in my lap when the door burst open.
"Hey, we're just going to kidnap her for a few minutes." The twins said to Ron and they pointed to me.
"What? No! This is MY brother sister bonding time-" Ron pouted standing up.
"Sorry, mate, but this is beyond your control." Fred laughed and grabbed my arms just as George grabbed my legs and they ran off leaving Harry laughing and Ron yelling after them.
They took me to their room and swayed me back and forth counting to three before throwing me on one of their beds and I sat up still giggling.
"What's this about?" I asked.
"Ha! What's this about, she says! This is about 'the code.'" They replied.
"The code?" I asked curiously.
"The brother sister code. Duh!" They replied smartly.
"Do you have this code for Ginny?" I asked them.
"Yes but she doesn't know about it." George shrugged.
"Plus it's different with you." Fred replied.
"Mind telling me what it is?" I asked jokingly.
"So naturally, older brothers carry the burden of protecting their younger sisters correct?" Fred asked and I groaned leaning back on the bed.
"I don't like where this is going." I groaned.
"Yeah, don't think we don't see the way Harry looks at you-"
"And the way you look at him-"
"But, because we love you-"
"We all have a code-"
"Defend and protect." They finished together.
"Okay. That's cool." I shrugged beginning to stand up again.
"This also means you can't be closer than one foot away from each other at all times." Fred finished.
"What?! What if I fall or something like that! Does he have a code too?" I asked.
"Yes." They chorused.
"It consists of staying at least a foot away from you-"
"No kissing-"
"No touching-"
"No looking-"
"Okay no looking? That's a little too far don't you think?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"Depends on where he looks." They shrugged and I blushed but my back was facing them as my hand froze on the knob of the door.
"Really?" I asked laughing slightly as I walked out the door.
I calmly walked back into me and Ron's new room.
"What did they need?" Ron asked.
"Nothing." I smiled.
