Chapter 6

DAEMON'S POV

I wrap my arm tighter around Katy's waist, pulling her closer to my bare chest. I missed this...I missed her...Goddamn. Lying on my back, she rolls over and slaps her arm over my chest and rubs her head on my side, basically using me as her body pillow. "Stop moving," she mutters under her breath as she  wraps her arms loosely around my waist. 

"You know kitten, the longer we stay in this bed, the later you will be for your classes and Adam and Aaliyah will ultimately be late to school in consequence." Before I have the chance to kiss the top of her head, Katy leaps out of the bed, flashing her naked ass until the bathroom door slams shut behind her. Laughing at her actions, I swing my legs over the bed and reach for my boxers and jeans. Turning towards the the door, I see Aaliyah's head pop in, her eyes staring at me with curiosity. 

"Daddy, we're going to be late!" she shouts at me before running up to me and grabbing hold of one of my legs. 

"We are going to be really late, if you do not let go of my leg, cutie pie," I tell her, lifting her off of my leg and on top of my shoulders. I listen to her giggle as I carefully maneuver out of the bedroom and into the apartment's kitchen.

"PANCAKES!!!" Aaliyah yells, bringing Adam running into the kitchen.

"Pancakes?" he asks with his big grey eyes. 

"Coming right up, munchkins." I set Aaliyah down on the countertop and start looking for the necessities (yes, I know some big words) to make pancakes. After making a stack load of pancakes, Aaliyah takes a plate of 8, Adam a plate of 11, and I take the last 14 for me. Katy walks into the kitchen, looking at the mess in the kitchen and at the plate of pancakes. She walks over to me in printed leggings and a large sweatshirt and takes my plate of pancakes away from me and starts eating from it.

"HEY!" I mumble at her.

"Sharing is caring, Daemon. I'm hungry too," she pouts. I walk over to her and move the plate of pancakes out of her hands and on the counter, trapping her in-between my legs. 

"I can share a whole lot of other things," I whisper to her. She punches me on the chest as she gasps scandalously.

"The kids are right there, Daemon!"

"What does Daddy mean by sharing a whole lot of other stuff, Mommy?" Aaliyah asks. Katy looks wide-eyed at Aaliyah and hides her face in my chest. Aaliyah tilts her head at me with curiosity as Adam grabs his backpack and tugs on the side of my jeans. 

"We're gonna be late for SCHOOL!!" Adam tells us.

"Let's just get out of the house before," Katy begins to mutter under her breath. Chuckling, I grab one of my shirts and take the car keys. Walking outside with Aaliyah in my arms and Adam in Katy's I open the side door to my Black Hummer and place Aaliyah in one of the seats. "When did you have time to get your car?" 

"I have many skills, Kitten. You should know all about them." She glares at me as she buckles Adam in and slides into the passenger seat. After dropping Adam and Aaliyah off, I make my way to the University of Colorado to drop off Katy. 

"Don't forget you promised them ice cream," she retorts.

"And I'll remember to pick you up from your last class at 2."

"Are you stalking me now, Daemon?" 

"Its just another one of my skills you need to remember." I smile back at her and tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear. I lean closer to her ear and whisper, "You are so going to purr for me tonight, Kitten." She moves away from me, but before she can turn away, I can see the deep red blush crawling on her face. Laughing, I tell her, "I'll see you at two with the kids!" She speed walks away from the car and towards the main entrance to the university. Good to be back, and good to be me! Goddamn I missed this.
