I blinked sitting up as I saw the sun rising. I noticed the bubble still intact and my energy was back. I looked at what I was laying on and saw it was Dane. He looked like he didn't care, I got up walking to everyone, “You guys wake up.” I told them gently.

They blinked waking up and ester yawned, “I can turn off your energy field now.” She mumbled and lifted her hand grabbing mine. I felt a zap and the bubble disappeared.

I burrowed my eyebrows, “My energy field?” she nodded stretching and stood up.

“Yah, it is like a temporary power placement. I used your energy to keep the force field up all night. That is why you were so sleepy.” She explained and I smiled, at least I knew why I was so tired. It also made me proud that I had enough energy to sustain a force field all through the night.

I yawned away and Ryan walked through the waking up creatures, “We head out in 10 minutes, use the bathroom and come back.” He told us.

Everyone got up cleaning the dirt off of their bodies and drank some water. I went pee out like an animal behind a tree, but hey it was better than nothing.

I washed my hands and saw everyone was already starting to head down the mountain. I walked behind Lilly and in front of Dane. I noticed there was a trail but it was only one person wide.

Once we got down the mountain side we walked across flat-ish grounds and came to a forest. I immediately grabbed Lilly’s hand, “Grab ester’s hand.” she looked at me confused but didn't refuse.

I grabbed Dane’s hand and we all walked together. I saw the other creatures saw us and copied. I was doing this because I had a feeling that this forest wasn’t like any other forest.

I noticed Ryan looked sort of on edge and walked very quietly.

We walked like this for a couple of hours and my stomach twisted slightly, “Ryan we need to hurry up.” I whispered, he glanced back at me with a shocked expression but gave a small nod.

“Why, what's wrong?” Lilly whispered. I just squeezed her hand to silence her. The groups behind us walked close and they did as well.

“Is… is that my mom?” I heard ester whisper. I froze, her mom was dead she told me she blew up. I looked over to where she was stopped and staring. All I saw was smoke… this forest was illusions.

I tightened my grip on Lilly, “Push ester to go, her mom isn’t here. Nothing is real, don't trust your eyes.” I pushed her forward while tugging on Dane.

I glanced back at Dane, “Tell the group not to believe their eyes, this forest has illusions.” He nodded and turned around telling them.

We continued walking and ester looked sad, “But we are leaving my mom behind.” She whispered with tears in her eyes.

I glared, “Ester, you told me your mom died, she took in your energy remember?” I growled at her and she blinked slowly.

“Yah… I know but…”

“No buts’ I growled, ‘it is a trick, keep walking.” I pushed her on. I looked up and saw Ryan was gone. I leaned to Lilly, “Can you still see Ryan?”

She looked forward and shook her head quickly, “No… what happened?” she whispered scared.

I narrowed my eyes on the trees around us. It wasn’t a trick, he was really gone, and he left us to die… I am going to kill him.

I looked back at Dane, “Tell everyone to speed up to a jog.” He nodded and turned around telling them.

I pulled them into a job and ester still looked like she was going to cry but pushed on. I could see direct sunlight and urged on, “Almost there, come on.” I told them.
