Hailee's POV

Sitting in math class, I sighed and looked at the clock.

3:28... 2 more minutes until school was out for the day.

I was excited. Not that I had that much to look forward to, but anything was better spending countless hours with the idiots in my school.

I started to pack up my stuff so I could be ready to leave as soon as possible. Often, I was the first one out of the classroom.

Today would be no different.

The bell rang and I quickly left my seat and exited the classroom. I stopped a my locker to drop off my stuff and then went to wait for my bus.

The bus stop was on the sidewalk outside the school and it was always crowded after classes were over. Everyone was so eager to be anywhere but here. I could understand that.

The wide sidewalk was really congested and there were kids everywhere. It was hard to see anything.

People around me were starting to move. They were moving apart, almost like they were creating a pathway. A really narrow pathway.

I looked closer and saw that Nick was pushing his way through the crowd. He wore his signature black leather jacket and dark jeans and people were making room for him almost as if they were afraid to get in his way.

Nick was the bad boy. They probably were afraid.

I saw him get closer to me and at first I didn't think much of it. He was getting closer to me with every passing second.

Is he walking towards me? No... that's crazy. Oh crap, he totally is.

Now, Nick was an arms length away and he was quickly closing the gap between us.

"Hey", he said loudly over the crowd which had abandoned the little pathway they had made.

"Hi", I said, a bit surprised that he was talking to me. Again. I made sure not to let my surprise show on my face though.

"Let's go", he said.

"Excuse me?", I asked. What does he think he's doing?

This is insane.

"Let's get out of here", Nick replied.

"And go where exactly?", I asked. At this point I was confused and a little creeped out.

"Wherever. I seriously doubt you want to take the bus." He had a point. I didn't want to take the bus if I didn't have to. "I could take you home, if you want."

"And how would we get there? Walk?"

"Not exactly", he said as he held up his hand to show a car key dangling from his fingers. "Don't worry, I've only gotten 4 speeding tickets."

"Oh that's encouraging", I muttered.

"So? What do you say?"

I looked up to see the bus coming and a herd of like 50 kids rushing to get on it. That bus would be so packed. No part of me wanted to fight my way through the crowd to get a spot on that bus.

"Okay fine", I answered.

"Follow me", he said.

We started pushing our way against the current of kids rushing to get on the bus. It didn't take long for me and Nick to get separated. I couldn't find him anywhere.

Suddenly, I felt a hand grasp my own and pull me away.

"Keep up, why don't you", he said as we pushed our way through the crowd, hand in hand.
