Elizabeth and I are currently in gym running laps to warm up for whatever we're doing next, some people are sitting down waiting for the coach to get here but I bet when they pull a muscle they'll regret not running.
"So care to explain?" Elizabeth asks referring to earlier.
"It's plain and simple he's jerk. One minutes he's simply nice and the next he's the complete opposite." I slow and speed walk wiping the sweat from my forehead.
"That's Harry Styles for ya." She shrugs her shoulders knowingly.
I sigh in defeat. I hear the gym door click open and soon students are filling the gym with the coach following behind. Everyone sits on the bleachers still and silent waiting for the directions. As the coach goes down the list for attendance I cross my fingers hoping that today we'll do something different.
"Today we'll be doing a physical assessment."
The class groans complaining about how gym isn't suppose to be about test and how assessment shouldn't be included in physical education but the coach didn't care.
"Get in your separate spots. Make sure you're arm length apart from the person next to you." He demands.
Students move up in their feet standing next to their group of friends arranging their spots. I chuckle lightly standing arm length apart from Elizabeth while nodding my head in the groups direction.
"They take everything so seriously, it's just a spot where you're going to stand for an hour calm your tits." She lets out an aggravated sigh obviously not fond of those type of girls.
I laugh keeping my head down waiting for the coach to give out the instructions.
"Okay Im going to set a timer for ten minutes. There will be a disc in here counting the amount of sit ups you're doing. When you can't do anymore you lay down and I'll come around to record your number. Ready, sit down and start."
I lay my back against the cold wooden floor feeling slightly disgusted because the amount germs that are on here. The sounding of an automated voice echoes in the gym.
As the number increases the center of my abdomen aches of pain. Many people have stopped already but I felt the need to continue and obviously Im not alone. I notice a few others are still going, Elizabeth stopped a few numbers back and started giving my a pep talk about how I can outnumber anyone. When it comes to motivation Elizabeth is the girl to go to.
"And stop." The coach presses a button on the timer turning down the volume.
Walking around through the aisles created he marks off the numbers of those who were last to stop. I finish off doing a eighty-five sit ups in a total of ten minutes he seems impress but doesn't say anything.
"How does you stomach feel?" Elizabeths pats the center of my stomach causing my shirt to stick to my skin because the sweat.
"Like it's been punched repeatedly over a hundred times." I grasps my sides laying my head against her shoulder.
"Well you're not the only one." She groans rubbing her stomach soothingly extending her legs.
We both force out a laugh slowly getting up on our legs. I lean on her for support as we walk towards the bleachers tiredly taking a seat. I watch the supply closet swing open as students take out the dodgeball getting ready for 'free time'. How do they have energy to run around and throw things?
