Chapter 11

As the three of us ran towards the house, I could see the determination in my friends eyes as we ran to the house, we knew that the 3rd piece was just so close and we only need to decipher this riddle that we found in order to find it.

Few minutes have already passed and the house was already a few meters away, I could feel excitement and fright creeping up to me as we slowly approached the house. I knew that this place was really haunted but what made me question about myself is that in my last visit in this place I wasn't really scared at all, it felt just ordinary. But this time I just can't fight this kind of feeling, it didn't feel like what it was during my last visit. Instead it felt like the opposite of what I was supposed to feel right now.

We finally arrived and the three of us were now standing in front of the gates of the house. We took a good look before I finally turned my head to the two of them. I wanted to say something to them before I or should I say we go in and find this 3rd puzzle piece.

"Guys, before we go in I just wanna ask you if you're really sure about doing this? I mean I can do it alone if you want me to."

"No, we'll do this together." Amber told me.

"Yeah." Frank butted in.

I then nodded and gave them a smile. I was happy and relieved that I knew that they weren't mad at me for dragging them into this. I was also very relieved that I wouldn't have to face this terror alone, I mean this house gives me the creeps! to be honest with you.

I then took a deep breath and faced the porch of the house. I just really hope that visiting this place would be worth it. I mean, the 3rd piece of this puzzle is just so close and I can feel that we're really close in uncovering this mystery.

"Let's go?" I asked.

They then nodded, I knew that there was fear and nervousness crawling into their minds. It was obvious because they were both sweating profusely and they were also very pale looking and to top that off they were also shaking. Literally they were shaking as if they were stuck in front of a snow storm.

We then walked towards the door and opened it slowly, the door also creaked slowly as we opened it. The house still remained the same the last time I visited. But for some reason, I can't explain why I feel very nervous as I stepped inside.

They then started walking around the house, to try and find the hidden puzzle piece. I also tried to look for the treasure but I wanted to read the riddle first before I start looking for it. As I looked in my bag the 2nd piece started glowing again, this time it was shinier than ever.

Seeing this amazed and startled me at the same time. I then called Amber and Frank's attention to make them come here. As I yelled out their names they suddenly appeared right in front of me and started to ask me what was wrong.

I showed them the 2nd piece and they saw the glowing letters on the piece and it showed the riddle embedded on the puzzle piece's body.

"A touch of this thing will hurt you, only in the right time and right place it will find you."

They were shocked and amazed at the same time. They looked as if they saw diamonds falling right in front of them, as I saw them do this I snapped them back into reality and told them where I think the puzzle piece was located.

"Alright guys, I think I know where the puzzle piece is located."

"Where?" They asked me.

"Try to analyze the riddle again see, 'only in the right time and right place will it find you' does it ring a bell?" I asked them.

They all looked so clueless as I told that to them. It was obvious that they weren't really analyzing the whole riddle. It's pretty understandable for them though because these riddles are really hard to figure out or understand them in just one reading.

"You don't get it?" I asked. "'Only in the right time' what time does the clock usually point to a time where where it makes a right angle?"

"At 3 and 9" They both said in unison.

"Exactly! And what time is it?"

"9" Amber told me. "Oh!" She exclaimed as if she was getting excited.

"But wait." Her face starting to pout." How are you sure that this is what it means?"

"Remember the writings we saw when the people were crowding over Amy's dead body? "

"Yeah?"

"It said 9 of the clock, which means 9 o'clock!"

"How do you know about this stuff?" Frank asked me.

"I don't know, I guess I just really like to investigate some things."

"Anyways, next phrase, 'Only in the right time and right place it will find you' "

"Alright now what does that mean?" Frank asked me.

"Come with me." I told them. I then looked around the ground floor of the mansion and sure enough I saw an opening that lead to two ways, the right wing and the left wing. I lead them to the right wing and sure enough there was an old clock in the hall.

" 'Only in the right time and right place it will find you' don't you get it? It's the clock! The next puzzle piece is hidden within this clock!"

"Whoa!" They both exclaimed in excitement." But wait, how do we get the puzzle piece exactly?" She asked.

I the  gave her a smirk and went close to the clock, I then opened the glass that was used to cover the clock and saw that it was set to 6 AM, I then turned the long hand towards the number 12 and the shorter hand towards the number 9.

After doinf this I then placed the cover back in and sure enough the clock started to shake. It frightened me a bit though because it's very strange seeing a clock shaking on its own. We then took three steps back as we looked at the clock as it shaked endlessly.

After a few minutes the shaking ceased and a compartment from under the clock suddenly opened, we heard the click sound it made so we headed for it. As we found the compartment, it contained the 3rd puzzle piece, the 2nd half of the sword's body.

As we took it out we all stared at it in amazement, suddenly a beam of light projwcted out of the sword, words then start to come out of the light and it read:

"Turn the sphere to the left and it will set the final relic free, turn it to the right and it will trap it for eternity."

"Quick Amber take a pic of this!"

She then took out her phonr and quickly took a picture of the words, she did it successfully, as the letters started to fade we then placed the 3rd relic inside my bag and after that we then ran out of the house.
