"Erika what are you doing?" He says
My head comes back to realisation of where I am. I close my eyes and breathe.
"Everything's fine" I say with a smile
"Eat your food then you dummie"
I stare down at the plate and with hesitation, pick up the wrap with my subconscious driving me crazy with erratic thoughts, I dismiss her as much as I can.
I take a bite out of the wrap, and everything was fine, I didn't gain a stone; the world didn't end and most importantly Bailey is still staring at me intently like the way he does.
We eventually finish our food and then we both stand up to leave.
Bailey puts his hand out and escorts me out of Nandos like the perfect gentleman.
We make our way out of town and he takes me back to the park, we walk down there with brief, daily like conversation.
We sit down at our bench (well the one we always sit on I guess) and he takes both of my hands in a clasp and just looks at me, his eyes twinkling in the beautiful sunlight.
"Erika I really just need you to know how much I do care for you, and I would do anything to make sure that you are truly happy; you make me smile everyday." He says honestly
"You are the only person on this earth that can make me smile the way you do." I smile sweetly
He then pecks me on the lips softly.
"Come on let's get you home"
"Already?" I say looking down
"Oh I suppose we could stay for a little while"
He then let's go of one of my hands still clasping the other one and I lean my head on his shoulder, he wraps his arm around me.
We watch the slight breeze pick up the leaves from the floor; and I think to myself, I am finally happy.
