The Truth (Part 3)

Jason.. I'm glad that's a pretty normal name. 

But about what he said earlier. About me, about my future and destiny, about my parents.. Are those true? I mean, I know I barely knew him, and he's saying all of that? I shouldn't trust him, but a part of me wonders if it's all true. Because obviously, he knew everything about me, and he actually disappeared into black dust. Now that's not normal.

I wonder what kind of a spirit he is. And did he say something about rules? What rules? I sighed. This is too much for me. Maybe if I take ashower and relax a bit everything will turn back to normal. I still won't believe these kind of things exist..

Shower was amazing. I felt clean and fresh, after a long day. 

It's already 5:10 PM. And boy, how bored I am. How about going somewhere? Like the mall, maybe? I thought as I got up and changed my sweat shirt and sweatpants into something more presentable. A black plain t-shirt and jeans will do it. I thought as I grabbed what I need. I tied my hair into a high ponytail as I don't really felt like doing anything with it. 

My steps towards the front door was stopped once I heard the voice, I mean Jason, called. 

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"Um, outside, obviously" I said, looking at him. "Why?" I asked.

"You can't. I won't let you." He said. 

"What? Why?" I asked. "I didn't ask your permission." I said. stepping forward.

"It's not safe out there. You know those evil spirits can harm you anytime!" He yells. 

"And why should I trust you?" I said. I just don't like being controlled. If I want to go out, then I'm going out.

"You know what happens last night." He said, "Those evil spirits tried to bust in, but they can't. This house is safe for you." He looked down, and then back at me. I couldn't find a word to say. He was right, last night was miserable. 

"I'm sorry" I said. "I'm kind of bored, so that's why I want to go outside." I looked down to my feet. Guilty, for not obeying his words. 

"No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell. I was just-" I nodded. 

"So you're gonna tell me about this, spirits thing?" I asked, sitting down on the sofa. 

He sat down next to me. "What do you want to know about?" He asked. 

"Um, well, the rules that you told me earlier?" I asked.

"Oh, that. There are some rules you can't disobey before becoming a spirit." He said, looking up. 

"And they are?" I asked, wanting to know more.

"Well first, you can't go out when the moon is full." He said, looking at me, "And second, don't interact with anyone you don't know, because they might be one of the evil spirits. And, don't fall in love with anyone." He said.

The last one was a little bit weird. "And, if, if I break any of those rules?" I asked.

"You will become like one of those evil spirits." He said. "And trust me, you don't want to." He continued.

"And the one you said, who are the part of the evil spirits?" I asked.

"Those will be the one who was chosen to be in the dark side." He said. 

"That's not fair." I said. 

He laughed. It's weird to hear him laugh. And smile. 

"Why were they chosen to be on the dark side?" I asked.

"You see, this thing works like a circle, if a person who was related to you, like your real families, were chosen to be on the dark side before you were chosen, then you will be on the light side. It's like back and forth" He explained. 

"Oh.. And about my family, you told me they aren't my real ones. What was that supposed to mean?" I asked. 

"When you were born, your mother turned into a spirit, and you were sent off to someone's doorstep. Which is who you call mom and daddy this whole time." He said.

"My real mother, she's a spirit?" I asked, "Which side is she in?" I asked.

He took a deep breath before answering. And I knew the news are not going to be good.. 

"The dark side.." He said.
