Falling (Part 14)

The closer I was to the Dragon's Lock , the more I wonder . How can I not be wondering? There is nobody who guards around .

In fact, the melody that I heard not long before this was more subtle , and then stopped .

Sure they already know of my presence .

My eyes narrowed, suddenly there is light coming out of the main door Dragon's Lock, a light that can’t be seen by anyone, not just me, but, Alvares with even higher rank can’t either.

My eyes can’t stand the white light that is shining more brightly from time to time . I was taking a few steps back as I shut my eyes shifting sideways glance . Even with my eyes closed , I can still feel the heat and the light.

It’s been a few minutes that had passed. I think, but after a while I could feel that the light is decreasing , and then gone straight off. I'm still not sure , but I don’t want to close my eyes shut for a long time anyway. I open my eyes slowly, little by little. Just like what I thought, the light was gone. I continued to walk forward.  I started my move with my right foot , though I shouldn’t have tell. As soon as I was move forward, I was blown away by a strong wind, very strong. As if someone had put a bomb in front of me, and the bomb exploded, causing me to be thrown back. My body aches , but I'm okay, I'm lucky, Elizabeth was still not awake . If she had been awake , she would panic. She definitely was still tired.

I was looking around for one that does the explosion, but my hope was crushed for what I could see is nothing but white dust . It does not only make it difficult to see, but also hard to breathe. I started coughing as soon as I took a deep breath.

" Whoever is behind this doing, I curse your soul!" I said. I’m not sure who was it, whether if it’s a spirit or a dragon. But what I am sure , it definitely hates guests

I waited too long for an answer , but I was left with nothing but a feeling of disappointment.  I waited to let the white dust subside , and I walked towards the fence of Dragon's Lock. Again, I was disappointed that the fence is locked . My eyes looked around the place, I watched carefully. I was sure there is evidence or some sort of clue that would tell me someone was here before me.

My guess was right, I could see from outside the fence of Dragon 's Lock, I could see a small note . Already organized neat handwriting . However, the writing is written in curved lines, making it difficult for me to read from my distance.

There is only one way to get to that note. Well, there was two ways actually. It was either becoming invisible and walk through the fence like nothing happened, or, break the fence. There was no way I could climb up the fence and go over it. It was so tall from me, almost like a tower-like-tall. Impossible for me to climb.

I feel like being a badass today, so I thought breaking the fence was cool enough. I laughed at my thoughts. I can be a little childish sometimes. Even in times like this. Grabbing the lock, I twisted it with two of my hands, scrunching my nose a little bit. Twisting and twisting until the thick metal lock finally broke. I smiled a little at my success. My strength has came back to me, I was weak after the merge, but now I gained my power again.

I was walking towards the note when I hear a small voice called.

“Jason?” She’s awake. Just stating the obvious.

“Yeah?” I asked her.

“Did anything happened while I was sleeping? I had a weird dream about you being blown away by a strong wind and some sort of that.” Elizabeth whispered.
