Chapter 8

Ariel's POV
Today is the day that we are moving. I go into the bathroom to take a quick shower. Once I get out I get dressed in something causal and comfy because we're going to be on the plane for a while. I put my clothes from yesterday in one of the boxes that are in my room. I go downstairs and see my family sitting at the table. "Hi mom and Hi dad". I said as I was walking into the kitchen. There is nothing in the kitchen ,not even the fridge! I sit down at the table and see that my parents went to dunkin' Donut and got us all breakfast. When I finished my breakfast I went back upstairs to gather the rest of the boxes and put them in the truck. I also have a drawstring backpack that has my charger, my phone, pack of gum, my headphones, some granola bars, and some tissues.

Tessa's POV
I just finished packing the rest of my things. So I decided to put some of the small things in my bag, which consisted of my phone and it's charger, some snacks, my headphones, a journal and a pen, my sketchbook, and my gifts that Georgia gave me. Speaking of Georgia I'm going to go over to her house and say goodbye in person. As soon as I was about to walk out the door. My mom comes in and says "Tessa where are you going?". I reply with "I'm just going to Georgia's so I can say goodbye in person". "Oh ok be back around 10:50 since we're leaving around 11:20 and our flight is at 1:30". "Ok." I walked out the door and started heading to Georgia's. When I got to Georgia's house I knocked on the door and Georgia's mom answered. "Oh Hello Tessa I thought you were moving today!". She says surprised. "I am I just came to say goodbye to Georgia in person before I leave". I reply with. "Oh ok Georgia is in her room". I nod "ok thanks". I head upstairs to Georgia's room and knock on her room door. She slowly opens it and she is staring at me with wide eyes. "What are you doing here I thought you were moving". She says. "I am I just wanted to say bye one last time and hang out with my friend for a little bit". "Oh ok". We go and sit down on her bed and we talk about all the memories we had here in Portugal. By time we finished that conversation I had 2 minutes until I had to leave."Georgia I have to leave soon so I'm gonna start heading out but first I'm going to say bye to your mom and your brother". "Oh ok I'm gonna miss you". "I'm gonna miss you too bye Georgia". I go downstairs towards the front door and then I remember that I have to say bye to them. I walk into the kitchen and see Georgia's mom and brother sitting at the kitchen table. "Hey I wanted to let you know I'm leaving now and I wanted to say goodbye and that I'm going to miss you guys and tell Georgia's dad that also". "I'm gonna miss you sweetie, call us anytime you want to". I nodded while my eyes were filling up with tears. I started heading towards the door checking the time and I see that it's 10:45 and it's a five minute walk home. "Bye Guys!". I yell while walking out the door. I hear them yell bye back. I start heading home.

Ariel's POV
"Hey mom where's Tessa?". I ask my mom who is rushing around the house. "Uh she's at Georgia's she should be home soon". "Ok". As soon as I said that ,Tessa comes through the front door. "Hey Tessa". "Hey Ariel". "Since we're leaving soon I suggest you might want to use the bathroom or something since we're leaving in a few minutes to pick up dad". I say. "Ok I'll be back,I'm just gonna go and grab my bag that I packed for the plane". She says while heading up the stairs. I nodded. I go up to my room and also grab my bag. I'm gonna miss this place. I close the room door and head down the stairs. I go outside and see
Mom and Tessa waiting for me to get into the cab. "Do you have everything?". Mom asks us. We both nod which makes her sigh in relief. I grab my headphones and my phone out of my bag so I can listen to music. I go to my music and I started looking for a song to listen to and I finally found one which is stitches by Shawn Mendes. Since I was on my phone the whole time I didn't even notice that we pulled up to my dads old work place and I saw him waiting outside for us. Once he spotted the cab he walked over and opened the door and sat next to mom. "Hey dad". Tessa and I said at the same time. "Olá menina, o que está fazendo". My dad said in Portuguese. "Well I'm on Instagram but I don't know what Ariel is doing though". "Oh ok so what are you doing Ariel". My dad said."I was listening to music ,but now I'm on Twitter". I said. "Oh ok cool". He replied with. After ten or so minutes we  finally reached the airport. We got out the cab and me and Tessa waited as my parents paid the cab driver. I look at the time on my phone and see that it's 11:05, so we have to wait around 2 1/2 hours.
