"Ow. Ow. Owww!", I yelped as the nurse examined my arm.
"Yep. Okay. Yep. Ah. Yep it is very broken.", the nurse told me. She gave me a sling to rest my arm in. Tomorrow I would have to get a cast. On the day of the dance! Wow! My life is just perfect isn't it?
"Thank you Ms. Journey.", I said and got up to leave with Claire behind me.
"Great. I got a broken arm, I have to tell Jackie about the dresses, the dance is tomorrow and we don't have dresses!", I told Claire.
"It'll be okay. Just stay calm. We will tell Jackie after all our classes. There is only 2 more. She was right. I had already missed 3 and 4.

"Miss Huggins why are you late?", Mr. Hawkins asked me as walked into the science room.
"I broke my arm sir.", I said giving him my tardy slip and walking to my spot.
"Well. I hope you get better soon.", he said and continued talking about chemical reactions. It felt like minutes but the bell had rung and I was of to 6th period. After this period I have to tell Jackie.

"What! No. Great! Just great! I spent so many hours no days on those dresses! Now what!", Jackie yelled.
"I'm sorry. We can just steal them up.", I said.
"No. Let them have it. I just. I want some time alone okay. I just need to blow off some steam. Skyler I know you didn't do this. Don't feel bad. I will be up on the balcony if anyone needs me.", Jackie told us then left. Silence filled the room. "Now what? Now what?", I said.
"I guess we will have to go to the dance in a cute top and pants.", Claire said flopping on the bed.
"Really?"
"What? You got any better ideas."
"Actually I think I do. You know that Before the Ball vintage dress shop? Well maybe we could get a dress there! I know the owner! She is my best friends, dogs owners, husbands, cousins wife's, brothers wife! She probably would let us get a few dresses for free if I pay her back with something she wants.", I said already putting on my coat and shoes.
"You know. That's not a bad idea! Let's go. And let's not tell Jackie.", Claire said.
"We will tell her we are going to the Coffee Bean. She can't stand that place so she won't bother." Claire said.
"I guess. Let's go!", I exclaimed.
