Give All the Credit to the Hot Cocoa

Chapter 2: Boy Cocoa

" Hey, Claire do you think they have hot cocoa? I finished this one", I asked as I shook my empty cup to show proof of nothing being left.
" I'm pretty sure. But dude you got to lay off the hot cocoa or you will turn into one.", Claire exclaimed.
"Then I wouldn't be able to drink me! That would be terrible! Even though I still want some hot cocoa." I said as I looked around for the cafeteria.
" Guys over here!", yelled Jackie as she pointed around the corner where the smell of GREAT foods. We knew that that must have been the cafeteria by the smell. We ran around the corner and saw so many students eating, chatting, practicing dances on the stage and so much more. We jumped in line grabbing our trays ready to have full stomachs.
"Thank you......"
"Brianna or Mrs. Brendel.", said the lunch lady.
"Okay. Do you have hot cocoa?", I asked eagerly.
"I do. Come on down and I can give you one. By the way cost of an extra of $2.00.", said the kind lunch lady aka Mrs. Brendel.
"Thank you.", I said and went to go find my friends/roommates. Just when I was walking towards Claire and Jackie this guy with brown shaggy hair ran into me. He was tall, had beats around his neck and running as if a bear was chasing him. Oh he also spilt all of my food even my hot cocoa all over me!!I was so mad! No infuriated!
" Dude watch where your...going.", I said as I looked at his face. He put me under a spell. Suddenly, I didn't even care about my cocoa! Weird right? All I know is that this boy was cute and had a great taste of music.
" Sorry. I was trying to get to the dance crew on the stage. I'll buy your lunch. Once again sorry. I see you were drinking some cocoa. It's my favorite drink.", he exclaimed as he helped my pick up my mess well his mess.
" Wow. Me too. Nice Beats. Red, my favorite color. I'm Skyler by the way. Yah. That's me. So um... you were gonna buy me a lunch right? I mean I don't know if you meant by you a lunch in or tea or clothes um I'll stop talking now.", I exclaimed in totally weirdness.
"Yeah, I'll buy you a lunch and hot cocoa. Um be right back.", he said right before he left.
" You gonna buy me lunch or clothes like what in the world Skyler!", I said to myself as I got up. He snickered.
" Here. By the way my names Kaleb. Nice to meet you Skyler.", he said then turned away and walked to his place. I walked back to mine. For the next moments I stared. Not at my cocoa at him, Kaleb. He was surrounded by jocks, cute girls, cheerleaders and not one, single nerd or geek. I was guessing he was one of those popular guys.
" Hello? Is Skyler in there?", Jackie asked.
" Huh, what?"
" You soooooo like him.", Claire said.
" Do not."
"Do too. I say you looking at him and messing up your sentences. But I wouldn't bother. He is obviously one of the popular people. He is probably as shallow as a kitty pool.", Claire said as she waved a carrot in the air. I felt bad for that carrot. It looked like he was on one huge roller coaster. Then the carrot   fell out of her hand and hit a guy. She turned away so quickly before the guy who she hit turned around. We all giggled.
" I don't feel as he is that low. Look he kinda doesn't want to be popular look at him. He is getting up to come sit with....US? What? Act normal!", I said as I tried looking normal but probably weird and an oddball.
" Hey.", Kaleb said.
"Hi. We meet again. Um.. let me introduce you to my friends. This is Claire and this is Jackie.", I said.
"Hi", they both said.
" Why aren't you sitting with them?", Claire asked as she gave a nod to the popular people.
" I told them I didn't want to be apart of them anymore. All of them were like whatever and started shunning me and yeah. But Paige won't give up on me.", he said.
" Who's this Paige you speak of?", I asked him looking straight at him.
" You see that girl over there with the blonde, straight, hair and designer clothes?"
"Yeah."
"That's her. But she is upset I'm sitting over here and totally ditching them.", Kaleb said.
"Well you are welcome to be apart of our group.", Claire said.
" Thanks. I better go so I'm not late to class. Bye.", he said as he walked away from the table.
"Bye", we all said.
"Okay. I like him.",
" He isn't that shallow."
" Skyler, You're drooling."
"I am? Wait! He never bought me lunch!", And all Claire and Jackie could do was laugh. So far this is the best days of my new school!
