Chapter 5

-Alex-

We were heading to Gi and Toms. I had just picked Laura up from her house. We were about 5 minutes away from their house. We were on the phone to Laura’s brother.

“If anything happens you tell me and I will be straight over there Laura” whatsyaname said.

“And what you going to do? Throw a cushion of him-“Laura said before I so rudely interrupted.

“Hey that’s my speciality” I joked

“Dude your scared of your own shadow” Laura teased her brother.  

“That’s not true but to be honest I meant let me know and I’ll be there to record it and put it on youtube!” Whatsyaname said

“hew whatsyaname! You know how I’m your sister’s awesome ginger friend?” I asked

“My name is Anthony and I never called you awesome so shut up and what do you want!” He half shouted half joked.

“Can you get us tickets to see the vamps this year?” I asked politely

“Yeah I’ll see what I can do” He said

“Anthony man! You own the arena…” Laura said like he was daft.

“Shut it ginger!” He said.

Out of nowhere came a car on our side of the road coming straight at us! They made no attempt to move and they were continuously gaining speed. Five seconds later a huge CRASH! Glass shattered everywhere in millions of pieces. About 500,000 were lodged into mine and Laura’s bodies. Blood was running down our faces and bodies, I saw Laura lying next to me, unconscious. I saw someone run out of the other car then another girl left the smashed up vehicle. I recognised them, it was the crazy fans. That was the last thing I remembered before waking up in a hospital surrounded by my family and Gi. Good job they don’t know who she and Izzy are or I was in serious trouble. They didn’t know about me and Dougie or about me knowing the rest of the boys, We made sure that we weren’t in the papers/magazines and my parents aren’t ones for watching ‘young peoples news’. It was the same for Laura. Only Anthony (Whatsyaname) knew about the boys and us.

“Alex, Alex?” I heard my mum say softly. “Doctor she has woke up”

“Huh?” I asked confused and weak. “Mum?”

“Its alright Alex, you’re in the hospital, you and Laura were in a terrible accident. The doctors took good care of you and you were never alone. There was always family, Gi, Izzy or your little boyfriend” My mum said softly. I looked at Gi

“Sorry, He turned up with the boys! I couldn’t turn him away and I couldn’t lie to your mum!” She said apologetically.

“it’s fine” I said “Where is Dougie?” I asked as he walked in the door.

“So the accident you were in” My dad said

“It was no accident Daddy” I said bursting into tears. Both my dad and mum hugged me.

“It was! Don’t accused people please” He said

“Actually, there was these crazed fans, they haven’t done anything for a while so we thought it was safe to leave the girls with Izzy and Gi, god I feel so bad now!” Dougie piped up. He started to cry and I called him over and hugged him.

“We’ll give you some time and you ask them any questions” My mum said leaving me with Gi and Dougie then called Tom in.

“How long was I out? Am I ok? Where’s Laura? Is she ok? When can I see her and where is Dirty Harry and Danny?” I sped talked. (Speed talked, school thing).

“2 weeks, yes, in another hospital room, she is hurt too, you can see her when the doctor has checked you over and harry is with Izzy and Laura and Danny is away” Tom said mumbling the last bit.

“WHAT?!?! HE ABANDONED HER AT A TIME LIKE THIS!” I Yelled.

“Alex, while we were away we found out that he has been cheating on Laura. We told him she had been in an accident and we were going to see her and he had the choice to see her or stay with his other girlfriend but he chose to stay. His words were ‘she’s in a coma, she wont know I wasn’t there’” Dougie said angrily. The doctor came to see me and he let me go see Laura. On the way I asked what we were going to do and he said we’d plan it when I got back to my room. I saw Laura and stayed for 2 hours and spoke to the others and caught up and spoke about everything but Danny because as I found out, people in a coma can here EVERYTHING and you don’t want to be in a room when people are being weird when you cant get away from it *cough*TOM*cough*Dougie*cough*
