"So What Are We Gonna Do Man" Jay Jay Asked Pacing Back And Forth With A Blunt In One Hand And A Bottle In The Other.

"Man, Relax."

"When Im Gone, Take Care Of Deja And Little Jaylen For Me."

"Man He Knows It Was Me! He Know! I Got Somebody's Fingers In The Mail Yesterday Saying This Is What Im Causing!"

Suddenly There Was A Loud Bang On The Door Followed By The Sound Of The Door Breaking Open. It Was Big Dog And A Couple Of Other Guys.

"Jay Yo Time Up" Big Dog Said.

I Started Walking Up To Big Dog. "Hey Man-"

Big Dog Stopped Me And Pushed Me Back. "Fuck You Jac!"

"What, What I Do?"

"I Thought You Was Down"

"Nah. You Knew This Bitch Stole From Me And You Kept Your Mouth Closed. I Thought You Was Suppose To Be One Of My Niggas"

"No The Fuck You Not! See I Know You Jac, You Was Gone Find A Way To Help Him. Get Him Out Of Here. Nigga You Betrayed Me. You May Care For Him, But I Don't And Now I Don't Care For Yo Ass Either"

He Pointed His Gun At Jay Jay. I Stepped In Front Of Jay And Big Dog Looked At Me Like I Was Stupid.

"Don't Do This Mario." I Said Calling Big Dog By His Real Name.

"Man Fuck Out Of Here"

"Mario, Man Think About It. This Man Has A Girl And A Child. How Would Your Kids Feel If-"

"This Aint About Me! Now Either Move Or Get Shot."

"Big-." Bang!

I Looked At Jay Jay Who Was Staring At Me With Wide Eyes. Then I Felt A Burning Sensation In My Stomach. I Looked Down And Noticed All The Blood Leaking From Me. Then In A Matter Of Seconds I Felt Light Headed Right Before Everything Went Black.

Ming Lynn's Pov:

I Was Sitting On The Couch With Mai When All Of A Sudden I Got A Call From An Unknown Number.

"Hello" I Said Answering It. I Heard Small Sniffles.

"Hello, Is This Ming". The Voice Sounded Familiar, Almost Too Familiar.

"May I Ask Who's Calling"

"This Is Mama Rosie"

Mama Rosie. I Hadn't Heard From Her Since The Accident. She Sounded Hurt. Then My Heart Sunk Into My Stomach.

"Is Everything Okay, I Haven't Heard From You In A Minute."

"I Just Got A Call From The Hospital Out There. Rodriguez Has Been Shot."

The Words Rang Through My Ears. Then They Echoed. I Had To Make Sure I Was Awoke So I Pinched Myself A Couple Times.

"What?" I Asked, Not Sure If I Heard Her Correctly.

"Im Getting The Next Flight Out There But I Wanted To Make Sure You Knew."

"Um Okay, Thank You" I Hung Up

I Sat There For A Second Before Feeling My Heart Shatter Into Millions Of Pieces. Tears Ran Down My Face. I Shut My Eyes Hoping That I Was Just Dreaming.

"Ming, Everything Okay?" Mai Asked

"Mai I Have To Get To The Hospital"

"What."

I Quickly Stood Up Making My Way Upstairs, Putting My Shoes And Jacket On And Running Back Down Stairs. Mai Was Standing Infront Of The Front Door.

"Ming Lynn, You Tell Me Whats Going On Right Now."

"Que Is In The Hospital, He Got Shot. I Have To Go" I Said Trying To Quickly Get The Sentence Out So That I Could Leave.

Mai Looked At Me As If She Couldn't Believe What I Was Saying. She Slipped On Her Shoes And We Both Left, Getting In My Car And Making Our Way To The Hospital.

When We Got Up To The Receptionist Desk I Asked For Him Right Away. The Lady Told Me That He Was In The Emergency Room And It Would Be Quite A While Before We Could Get Any Information. We Sat In The Waiting Room For a Long Time. Ten Minutes Past, Then 30 Then An Hour Then 2 Then 4 And So On. I Was Becoming Hopeless Again. I Went Back In Time, Remembering How I Felt When I Lost Him The First Time. How I Had This Empty Feeling Without Him. I Couldn't Lose Him Again, I Would Die, Go Insane. This Time I Might Not Be Able To Cope.

I Called June Up And She And Tony Were At The Hospital In Minutes. I Cried For A Good Hour Sitting In The Waiting Room. The Doctor Finally Came Out To Talk To Us.

"Is Everything Okay."

"Is Any Of Mr. Broadnax's Family Here."

"I Am His Family."

"I Mean Immediate Family"

"His Family Is Not In State And I Am His Girlfriend. If I Don't Get Any Information Soon I Will Go Out Of My Fucking Mind And I Will Raise Hell Up In Here."

The Doctor Stared At Me For A Second. He Then Proceeded.

"Mr. Broadnax Has Lost A Lot Of Blood And Getting The Bullet Out Was Really Difficult But We Were Able To Remove It. As Of Right Now He Is In A Coma."

"Excuse Me." I Said A Little Shocked.

'I Said-"

"I Heard What You Said, Can I Go See Him?"

"Yes 2 At A Time."

I Didn't Think About Anyone Else Going To See Him, I Tried To Get To His Room As Quick As Possible. I Didn't Know What Room He Was In And I Was In Too Much Of A Rush To Asked, I Searched And Searched Til A Woman Stopped Me.

"Are You Okay, Do You Need Help?" She asked Me.

"Im Looking For Rodriguez Broadnax."

"I'm On My Way To His Room Now, You Can Follow Me."

I Followed Behind Who I Assumed Was His Nurse. We Came Up To A Room And She Checked Some Papers Sitting Outside The Door. I Was Almost Afraid To Go In. As I Walked In I Peeped Around. I Saw Him Laying There With Wires Hooked Up To Him And Everything. The Sight Of It Broke My Heart. I Walked To The Side Of His Bed And Stared At Him.

"Jenjang Que!" I Said Saying Damn It Que In My Native Language Almost Automatically. "This Is Exactly What I Wanted To Avoid. My Heart Is Broken Right Now, Looking At You Like..This. You Shouldn't Even Be Here. You Told Me You Would Be More Careful, That You 'Got It' This Time."

I Said The Last Part With So Much Attitude. I Was Quiet For A Minute. I Wanted So Badly For Him To Say Something Along The Line Of "Ming Its All Good, Im Fine And You Know Imma Be Back On My Feet Soon So Relax" Like I Knew He Would If He Could. There Was No Sound As More Tears Fell From My Eyes And I Had To Close Them To Keep Myself Together.

I Opened My Eyes Hoping To See His Looking Back At Mine But Nothing. They Were Shut And He Wasn't Awake. Well, As Far As I Knew. Most Of The Time, People In Comas Can Hear You, They Know You're There They Just Can't Do Anything.

I Wasn't Sure Of What I Wanted To Say Next So I Didn't Say Anything. I Just Walked Out. I Walked Into The Waiting Room And Everyone Looked At Me. I Burst Into Tear And June Hugged Me. What Am I Going To Do?
