I opened my eyes. It was dark. I felt a strange chill, and I realized that I was in water- and moving.... upward?

I noticed that the moon was out. At that exact moment, I broke the ice. It was gentle, not like a sudden head-on collision with the ground or something. I looked up and watched the moon. I didn't know why I did it, I just knew that I liked it. The moon... it seemed to... to have a man in it. I could see it now. The man in the moon.

I noticed that I was standing. I wasn't floating anymore. I was standing on thin ice. I didn't know how. I was still staring at the moon. This man (I still couldn't get used to the fact) told me to look down. So, for some strange reason, I did. What I saw befuddled me. What I saw was a blue and brown candycane-looking stick. It was as tall as me, or so it looked. I didn't trust it. It had a slight bend, about halfway through the stick. But that is not what I didn't trust. What I didn't trust was the black thickness that showed up around it. I looked up to the Moon (I decided to give it a capital, considering I did not know Moon's real name), and he did not say anything.

I turned away from the Moon, the stick, and my possible future.

^_^

I almost galloped into this town. I saw the lights and thought that there would be people. Sure enough, there were.

I walked, calmer, over to this older woman, in a black dress. I automatically turned away because there was something about her that I did not want to deal with.

The next person I walked up to was a young woman. She was dazzling. She had bright blue eyes and stunning blonde hair. I decided to say hi.

"Hello there." I realized that that was the first time I had talked since I woke up. She, the young woman, walked by me.

"Well then. Don't judge a book by its cover."

I walked over to a young child. He was adorable. He had a beautiful little body. It was chubby and cute, like a child's body should be. He was skipping straight toward me.

"Excuse me." I stood right in front of him. He hesitated, so I thought he had heard me. But he just walked right past me. Right through me.

I couldn't describe what it felt like. To be passed through, without them even noticing you. It... It surprised me. It was painful. It felt like I couldn't breathe. There was no way that that had happened. I was in complete denial. There was no freaking way.

I felt myself being lifted by the wind, and I was flown into the forest. I wasn't freaked out anymore. I was just... depressed.
