Bellamy POV

While giving Wells instructions when we are with the TriKru I look up to see the princess watching me.

It's strange, I used to think that Octavia was the only one I cared about, but looking into those blue eyes that held my gaze, I suddenly wasn't sure if that was true anymore.

Still gazing at me, she says something to Finn as she leaves him and walks over to me.

"Bellamy" She stops beside me.

"Princess" I purse my lips, "Are you almost ready? We leave in 10."

"Yeah, I just need to grab breakfast. Have you seen Monty yet." She asks, breaking from my gaze to look around.

"Did you check with Raven?"

She shakes her head, trying to ignore Wells who is silently watching us.

I give him a pointed look, that he ignores.
"Clarke." He speaks to her.

"Yeah?" She tries to hide her sigh.

"Be careful today ok? I should come to help protect you." He says softly looking at her with concern and pleading. I realize he has feelings for Clarke too and I can't explain the slight feeling of anger that surges up.

Wait, am I jealous?

She looks at me when she answers, "Don't worry about me. There's no need. Bellamy is more than able to protect us and we have Finn too. You're needed here at camp."

I feel my chest puff out and I try to ignore how those words make me feel.

Wells looks between the two of us without comment before leaving us to ourselves, his shoulders slightly hunched in defeat as he walks away.

"I think you broke his heart princess." I say, smirking, unable to help myself.

She shakes her head ruefully, "I dont want to, but he just doesn't take no for an answer."

Despite my better judgement my hand reaches involuntarily and brushes one of her stray blond curls behind her ear.

I can hear her sharp intake of breath but before either of us can say anything Octavia comes running up and the moment is gone.

"Lincoln is here to take us to their village." She announces breathlessly.

"You're not coming Octavia." I say quickly.

"What?! Bellamy! " Octavia starts.

"Listen!" I say sharply. "We don't know what to expect and I can't be distracted worrying about your safety."

"You wouldn't even know Lincoln if it wasn't for me!" She huffs.

"I know Octavia. Allright? I need you here to help Wells run camp. If it goes well you can come on the next trip ok?"

"Bellamy, she should come" Clarke interrupts us.

"Stay out of this princess!" I snarl.

"We wouldn't have this alliance if it wasn't for her. She should come. We'll be with her at all times." Clarke stands her ground.

"Please Bellamy? We,both know you don't need me to run camp. Besides, you taught me how to throw a punch, I'll be fine. " Octavia begs.

"Fine." I huff, "I can't argue with both of you. Let's go." I reply gruffly. Octavia dances off to grab her stuff and I am left standing awkwardly with Clark.

"Don't be mad Bellamy. You know she'd just sneak and follow us anyway. At least this way we know where she is." Clarke tries to explain.

"Yeah, I know. Let's just go." I tighten my grip on my gun and start to walk as she falls into step with me.

"And Clarke?"

"Yeah?"

"At their village we need to stick together ok? No one goes anywhere alone. Got it?"

"I don't take orders from you Bellamy. You need to give me a better reason." She challenges me.

"I don't want to lose yo....anyone. Will you just trust me! ok?" I stumble over the words.

"I do trust you Bellamy." She replies softly, and when I glance at her I see her dark lashes brush the faint flush on her cheeks.
