phils POV

my eyes widened as i saw "dan howell is calling..." written across my screen. my body tensed as a million scenarios raced through my head.

should i answer?

what happens if he doesnt like my voice?

how about if i mess everything up with my awkwardness? it wouldnt be a surprise if i did.

the ringtone filled the room as i finally made my decision & i pressed the green button, accepting the fact that i would hear his voice for the first time in a few seconds.

my breath hitched as i brought the phone to my ear, my eyes closing in anticipation.

"hello?"

thats what he sounds like.

thats what, dan howell, sounds like.

"hi, your voice is very soothing."

as those words left my mouth, i mentally face palmed myself.

why did i say that?

"shiz, i shouldnt have said that," i mumbled under my breath, receiving a soft chuckle from the boy on the other side of the line.

"aha, its fine. its true."

i could literally feel the other boy smirking through the phone & i only responded with an eye roll.

i kept my mouth shut, nibbling on my lip as i thought of what to say next.

"your voice is soothing too," dan spoke, a light voice crack at the ending of the sentence made me laugh quietly, "what?" the tone in his voice had a hint of annoyance & curiosity.

"youre literally a baby arent you? i mean, your voice cracked s-"

"i already told you that im 18."

i small laugh escaped my lips, "exactly, youre literally are a baby."

"only your baby though," his voice was soft.

"oh god my virgin ears."

"wait."

"what?" my eyebrows furrowed as my voice slightly went higher.

"youre a virgin?"

"god, youre such a white boy."
