Silence is the most powerful scream
Tyler lead Dan into the car park that took you to the doors of the school. Cars drove in and out whilst cocky people ran in front if them. Idiots.
Tyler leant up against a lamppost there and opened a packet of sweets. Ok then. Dan thought to himself as he watched Tyler eat them one by one, desperate to ask for the sugary goodness. 8:20am, school doesn't start for another 30 minutes, great.
"Tyler can I-"
"Have one? Sure." Tyler finished his sentence for him, damn, they were gonna get along great.
The gentle sound of skate board wheels across Tarmac sounded in his ears as he turned to see a boy. A boy with black hair and pale skin rolled in, jumping off his board and taking off a grey beanie to reveal a sweeping fringe actually similar to Dan's. His hair stuck up in different directions causing Tyler to smile.
"That's Phil." he informed him. He was too busy staring to actually take in what he was saying. "He's silent most of the time, but he sits with us other times."
Phil looked up, making brief eye contact, no emotions. He shoved the board under his arm, waved at Tyler and walked in to school. No hi for Dan.
"Told you, don't be offended though." Tyler told Dan, making sure he didn't feel bad. He didn't care.
"Tyler!" A voice of cheeriness erupted from behind Dan, giving him a heart attack.
"Jesus." Dan muttered under his breath. Another pale person walked up, dyed red hair down to her waist, deep green eyes and full lips. Beautiful, she was pretty. But Dan wasn't attracted to her.
"Aurelia, nice of you to join us." Tyler muttered sarcastically. He didn't know if Tyler was just annoyed or if he didn't like her.
"Hey, not my fault Jake was straight." She pointed out. Oh, boy drama. "And let it go, that was 4 years ago and you have Troye." A small smile fell on to Tyler's face when Troyes name was mentioned. Faint, like a whisper, but definitely there.
A few more people joined 3 guys and 4 girls, all getting to know Dan one by one. Their names sticking to his brain like glue, they were all so quirky and unique. The girls Mila, Wren, Eden and Devan. Then the boys, Haiden, Jaylon and Nixon. All of them seemed like nice people. Apparently not all of them hung around with us all the time.
Dan knew that there was a few more people joining them later by the names of Louise, Zoe and Charlie. Charlie is said to go by "Charlie is so cool like" but Dan thought he'd stick to Charlie.
First bell rang and Tyler took Dan to their form. When Dan entered his eyes trailed across the room. A few people looking up, tapping their friends and them looking at Dan too. Then, seated in the corner was... what was his name? Phil!
He was talking to a person to his right who Tyler told Dan was PJ. According to Tyler he hadn't been listening because he didn't hear his name when he was mentioning people.
They sat in their seats at the front, two rows in front of Pj and Phil. When Phil laughed, it was too quiet, when Phil whispered, he was too loud, when he answered the register he stuttered over two words. Dan turned around to look at him. He wasn't gorgeous, nor was he pretty in anyway at all. Dan knew this, but he kept staring.
"Dan!" The teacher called out for him to answer his name for the 3rd time, Phil was staring. Dan didn't want to be stared at by those ice-y eyes.
"Yeah miss" Dan replied as she carried on through the register, she hadn't made Dan introduce himself.
