Chapter 12

Zoie's POV

As I wake up to the sound of my phone buzzing with a message, I hop out of bed with a smile on my face. Looking at the message it says:

Nerf: Morning :) can't wait tilll later !

A smirk comes up on my face. I look at the alarm clock to see its 11:00 a.m. Well I should go get ready. Going over to my suitcase, I find blue shorts and a red tank with the word 'love' across it. Getting dressed, I walk over to my bathroom to leave my hair wavy. It looks good. 

After 30 minutes of getting dressed and putting my make-up on and talking to the mirrior, trying to make it act like its Nerf, I run downstaires with Cher just standing there with her arms crossed across her chest.

" And where do you think you're going?" Cher asks rudely.

" None of your business Cher." I his at her

" Well you're not going anywhere with my shirt." I roll my eyes.

" Whatever. It's not like I let you borrow my clothes and me not able to borrow one of yours. Yeah, so fair." I say

" Yeah it's nothing like that Zoie. Now give my dam shirt back!" She argues.

" Fuck off Cher! You have plenty more shirts." I reply walking past her to the front door.

Closing the door behind me , I look around to see where Nerf is. I thought we were gonna meet at my house at 12:00... Maybe he's walking still. As I look around I hear as if someone is coming from behind me. I stood there hoping it's Nerf. Thats when someone covered my eyes gently. I smiled.

"Guess who.." They said.

"Nerf?"

"Dammit!" He cursed I laughed. I turn around to see cute little Nerf dressed in a white Bart Simpson tank top and brown shorts. He looked good.

"Thank you so do you." He said winking. I guess I spoke my mind out again!

"Well lets go?" He asks 

"Sure" I smile

Nerf's POV

I stared up and down at Zoie. She looked cute. I'm happy to know that this time it's actually a date. We both finnaly arrived at the Amuesment Park. We both looked up at the lights. I looked to her face to see her eyes sparkel into the lights as she dropped her jaw in amazment.

"Wow. The lights are just amazing!" She said.

" Not as amazing as you." I said winking and blushing.

"Aww. Well lets go to the Batman ride! Heard it was crazy." We both ran to the ride.

AFTER THE RIDE

"Ugh... I'm never ever going on that ride ever again!" I yell holding my stomach in disgust.

" Haha baby!" She said pushing me to the nearest bench to sit on. She sat besides me placing her head on my shoulder looking at the shining lights.

"I could just stay in this moment forever  you know?" She says

"Yeah..I do. Why would you want to though?" I question

" Because the lights are beautiful! And ..." She pauses.

"And 'cause I'm here...With you." She removes her head off my shoulder staring into my eyes. We just stared. I loved her eyes! Sparkling brown. 

"Same here." I smile.

She looked to the ground.

"Lets go ride some more rides. This time you can pick it." She picks up my hand leading me to stand up.

"Lets go to the Ferris Wheel." We both run again to the ride geting seated.

Thats when the ride started. As it went up and up, Zoie got up from her seat , sitting next to me. She looked at the oppisite side of me.

"Look how high we are! Oh my gosh this is awesome." I looked to her side where she was facing. It was high.

We finnaly reached to the bottom. She took out her phone looking at what time it was. It was 10:00. I guess it's now closing since the announcment just went on. We both walked to the park that we always hung out at.

Zoie ran to the swings as I tried catching up with her. She kicked her feet back and forth getting higher and higher. I sat on another swing getting some paper out and dope. 

"What are you doing?" She asks interested.

" Gonna smoke a blunt. Want some?" 

" I never tried it...." She stopped on her swing for a moment and watched me roll the blunt.

I lite it up and inhaled it. I thought I should try impress her by blowing out rings. She seemed impressed alright.

"Can I have some?" She asks. I didn't think it would be a good idea but she wanted it plus it's her first time. She can at least try. I passed on the dutch to her. She studied it for a moment and placed it in her mouth.

"Remember to inhale it carefully and slowly until you feel it come here." I say placing my hand above her heart to show her where to stop. "Then just blow it all out." I watched her do it and as I did she looked so attractive. It was her first time and she did it right! She didn't cough a lot either.

"Woah. Good job. For a begginer." I joke

She passed it back to me and stared at me.I inhaled for a moment and stared back at her. She leaned in closing her eyes. I closed my eyes as well and felt her lips smash on to mine. I broke the kiss remembering she's high. I don't want to take advantage of her. Even if it's kissing.

"Whats wrong?"She pouted.

"You're high. I don't want to you take advantage of you..."

" I'm high! Not drunk. I know what I'm doing and how I'm feeling. I wanted to kiss you. I do love you."

Zoie's POV

"I do love you." Those last words I said made me gasp. I can't believe I just told him how I feel. I'm not even that high! I feel happy and calm. 

"See. You're really high. Lemme take you home." 

"No! Stop pushing me away! I'm going to say it again. I love you Nerf. I bet even when I'm sober I'm going to say it again and still mean it. I can't believe you don't even trust me about that."

"Lemme just take you home now." I rolled my eyes and followed him. We reached my house.

"Wanna come in at least and get something to drink?" I ask

"Sure but I'll leave right away." As we walked in the house, we went to the kitchen to find a note on the counter.

Zoie, we don't know where you are right now but we're letting you know when you come home don't be suprised when we're not home because we had to take grandma in the hospital. urgent emergency and don't be worried. Just a little accedent. We'll be home tomorow in the afternoone. - love mom

I crumbled the paper.

"What happened?" Nerf asks.

" Mom had to take grandma to the hospital... They all won't be home till' tomorow afternoon." I say feeling sober again.

" Oh... You look sober.." He says

" I am." 

"Wanna go upstaires?" I add.

" Sure. Zoie?" I turn around.

"Never mind." He says.

Was he going to ask me something? We both reached in my room finnaly.
