Chapter 18

Zoie's POV

~ ONE YEAR LATER~

" C'mon Zoie! We're gonna be late!" Rachel yelled from downstairs. I can't believe I'm turning 16 today! I remember the Summer of last year how I turned 15. Good times. 

I looked around for my white Mickey Mouse tank. I finaly fount it and placed a beanie on my head and me and Rachel both left the house to go to a skatepark competition. She wants me to compete with her 4th grade enemey Amy. I don't even know that girl but on the charts it said I have to compete with her. I'm so happy I learned more tricks and stuff last year...By Nerf.

Me and him never talked again after he landed in the hospital. It's sad it happened again but it's for the best. We reached to the 'Ultimate Skatepark' place. As we both walked to sign in for the competetion, I felt someone grab my waist from behind.

" Hey babe," Ryan whispered into my ear.

" Hey babe," I turned around to hug him.

" I was thinking after this competetion that we could go to Greg's party tonight." He winked.

"I don't know Ryan. Last time we went to that party you sort of left me"

" I promise I won't do that tonight babe! Cross my heart." He said putting his hands up in defense.

I laughed." Fine I guess I'll go but I got to be home by 11:00...Sharp."

I made a deal after we came back to Chigago with my mom that if I am good and stuff that I can still skate because after that one day of me and her fighting about Nerf, she thought she could take my skating life away. I couldn't bare to live without that so I made a deal. That's why I'm worried about what time to come home.

"Alright babe!" He said with attitude. I hate it when he acts like that.

Zoie Jenkins and Amy Bell. Please go to court 52 for the competition. Thank you.

" Well babe wish me luck!" I kissed his cheek and tried to run off until he grabbed onto my wrist hard pulling me back smashing his lips to mines. His kisses and make-outs were nothing good compared to Nerf's. His were so delicate and gentel and in times it became intense but in the right time. What are you doing Zoie?! Stop thinking about Nerf

I pulled away wiping my slobered lips and began walking to court 52 to start the competition.

Nerf's POV

" Dude there's some hot girls here." Jake said biting his lips as girls passed by him. I can't believe he took me to 'Ultimate Skatepark'. I didn't wanted to go because I gave up skateboarding after I landed in the hospital last Summer. That made me remember then:

FLASHBACK

I woke up on a hospital bed dressed in all white and looked over to see mom asleep on her chair. 

"Mom.." I called and she woke up.

" Oh my gosh Nerf! Thank God!" She said hugging me.

" What happened?" I asked

" You passed out in Dave's house.. He beat you up pretty bad.. And I just want to say I'm so sorry for not listening to you before and leaving you all the time and I will never do it again!" She sobbed.

" It's ok mom... I need to call someone though.."

" Who?" She said looking up.

" Zoie..."

" Zoie? That one sweet girlfriend of yours? She helped me with you and came to the hospital with me.. I don't know where she went she just left." I felt my heart aching
