Chapter 14

Nerf's POV

As I felt the sun hit my bare back I sat up looking at Zoie soundly asleep. I guess we had some fun last night. I decided to go downstairs and fix us something to eat. I remember that Zoie said something about her mom and grandma coming back in the afternoon so we have enough time. I decided to make Zoie some pancakes and yes I can cook! While flipping the pancakes, someone placed their hands over my eyes. I knew it was Zoie.

"I know thats you Zoie." 

" Ugh shit!" She yells out.

"Hey love." I say leaning in to kiss her cheek.

"Well....Last night was fun haha" She laughs

"Haha yeah..." 

Zoie's POV

Nerf is amazing! I can't believe he's even making breakfast. I sat on the stool next to the counter waiting for the pancakes.

"Smells hella good!" I say as he places the pancakes on a dish.

"Thanks babe"

I smiled. I guess we're official. Are we? I would want to ask him but I'm scared what he'll say.

" Nerf?"

"Yeah beautiful?"

" Are we um.... " He tilted his head

"Nevermind.."

"No tell me!"

"I was just going to ask' if we're like you know...Official?" I just wanted to bang my head onto the counter.

"C'mon Zoie.. After last night! We are... Are we?"

I walked over to him and kissed him. 

"We are babe.." I smiled and looked right into his eyes. He smirked a little

"Do you hear that?" He asks. That's when we both could hear the front door open. Shit! It mom

" Go go go through the back door."  whispered.

He ran through the back door hiding behind our griller and I sat down quickly back into my stool and ate the pancakes trying hard to act like nothing happened.

" Zoie? Making breakfast?" Mom says suprised.

I ran over to poor grandma. 

"Are you okay grandma?"

" Oh I'm fine sweetheart. I just slipped yesterday over something and felt like I broke something but they checked and nothing was broken." 

"Thank God." I whispered to my self in relief

LATER THAT DAY

Nerf: hey babes :) thanks for helping me out back there ._.

Me:haha its fine. we up for today right?

nerf: whats for today?

me: meet at the park... btw bring some of you know ;)

nerf: you badd gurrl

me: haha i'll meet you later at the park then bye

nerf: bye babe

I grabbed my skateboard and ran out the door. Skating on the road I heard a girl call my name.

"Zoie right?" I turn around to see Cookie

" Coke? Isn't it?" I say bitchy

"Listen you better back off of my man. Nerf doesn't even like you. He toled me and um plus he was just using you for the sex" I scoffed " Yeah I'll be asking him that love. But good to see you Cunt." 

" For your information it's Cookie alright and I dare you cause I'll be seeing you running up this road crying your eyes out." 

" Listen bitch! You don't know nothing about me and Nerf! How bout you stay away and leave us be. Just cause you're suffering that single life doesn't mean we have to suffer with you, yeah?" I turn around continuing to skateboard when all of a sudden I feel something hit my head. My body hit the ground and my eyes became heavier and heavier.

I felt so much pain. I felt like I just got shot or something. Before I know it , I shut my eyes and saw just blackness.

Nerf's POV

I waited for Zoie in the park for 3 hours and texted her 13 messages! Where could she be. I'm so worried. God knows what happened. I decided to walk to her house and see maybe if something came up. As I walked down the road I noticed something in the center of it. I got curiouse and walked further only to see a body. My eyes widened and ran to the body. I turned it over to notice it was Zoie. Her head was all bloody and she passed out. I felt my eyes water. I pulled out my phone and dialed 911.

"911 what's your emergency?"

" Please. Please come to 7356 Arizona Street. My girlfriend is passed out and her head is all bloody. She's outside on the road. Please come now!"

"Alright sir please stay calm. The ambulance is on the way. Just stay with us on the phone."

I hung up on the phone not caring if I was suppsosed to stay on the phone or not. I picked up Zoie's body and placed her on the sidewalk hearing the ambulances sirens. I felt my a tear drop down my cheek. I knew I was crying. I care for Zoie. A LOT.

The abluance people came out with some wheely bed and placed her bdy carefully on it. I walked with them into the amblunce truck and watched them as they put shots in her. We finaly reached the hospital and went in. 

"Sir you must stay in here." One of the doctors stopped me. My anger filled up.

"No thats my girlfriend! I need to know if she's ok!" I shouted loudly that I became the center of attention in the whole room.

"Sir please. You have to stay here and fill this paperwork. We don't allow visitors into the emergency rooms until we're done with our opperations so please sit down and fill this paperwork. We'll call you in no time." I calmed down and snatched the papers away from him.

After 1 hour of waiting the doctor called me in. I walked in to see Zoie asleep and her heart beating normal. I was relieved and pulled a chair beside her and held her soft hand.

" I hope you're ok Zoie..." I put my head down and felt tears drop down. 

" I. Am." I heard a raspy weak voice. I lifted my head up and saw Zoie awake staring at me.

"Zoie! Love are you ok?" Now this time more  tears poured out.

" Please.Don't.Cry.Nerf." She said slowly. I squezed her hand more.

" What happened?"

" She won't be able to talk much sir. It'll take time for her to regain her voice back." The nurse said behind me.

"What are you talking about?"

" She won't be able to talk much is all I'm saying so it's better if you don't ask her all these questions. It can make her confused and dizzy." I rolled my eyes and looked back at Zoie.

" Nerf. Thank You." She says queitly.

" You don't have to babe. You're ok though thank god.." She smiled and squezzed my hand with a tear dropping down her cheek. I wiped it off gently .

On no! Zoie is in the hospital ): who made this happen? Could it be Cookie? or it couldv'e someone else. by the way excuse the miss spelled words
