(Cat's POV)

It was getting late. Armin was walking me down a street I hadn't really been down before. The sky had turned into a beautiful fire. Armin moved a bush, and bowed slightly.

"Ladies first." He smiled, causing me to giggle.

I walked through the bush, amazed by what I saw. A part of the beach that looked like one of those places in movies like Lover's Lane.

"Armin... It's beautiful!!"

All we want, what we want is
All we want is gold
Sunsets on Long Island
Roll the windows down in the van
Lost my map on the Jersey Turnpike
It's OK, we ain't looking back
All we ever want is gold
One way on this winding road

"I'm glad you like it." Armin wrapped his arms around my shoulders, hugging me from behind.

"How did you find this place?" I asked, looking back at him.

"Annie and Mikasa told me about it. They knew I wanted a surprise for you, and they showed me this beach."

"It's incredible..."

We made our mistakes
It's not too late
We had to learn the hard way
Bridges will burn
Now it's our turn
We had to learn the hard way
'Cause all we ever want is gold
We made our mistakes
It's not too late
We had to learn the hard way

"Not as incredible as you." Armin kissed my cheek, causing me to blush.

"Or you." I turned around a kissed him back.

"Well come on!!" Armin exclaimed, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the water.

"A-Armin! Wait up!" I exclaimed, trying to keep up.

It's 2 in the morning
Can't seem to find the words for a song
I remembered my dreams
And how far they seemed
I can't believe how far we have come
All we ever want is gold
So it's 60 miles on this open road

We ran to the edge of the water, slipping off our shoes and socks. We ran into the water, the cold liquid circling my ankles. Armin reached down and splashed a little water at me.

"Hey! Not fair!" I laughed. We ran deeper into the water, to where it reached up to about my mid-torso. Our clothes were soaked, making me cold.

"Cat, you're cold." Armin hugged me. I hugged him back, instantly feeling warmer. I heard him snicker.

"Wha-?" I was cut off by him dunking me underwater. I quickly swam back up.

"Wow, real mature." I laughed. It was my turn to dunk him. He came back up quickly, his golden hair clinging to his lower jaw.

"I'm glad you're having fun Cat!" He exclaimed.

"I am! Thank you!"

We made our mistakes
It's not too late
We had to learn the hard way
Bridges will burn
Now it's our turn
We had to learn the hard way
'Cause all we ever want is gold
We made our mistakes
It's not too late
We had to learn the hard way

"Well, the night's still young. Wanna hang around here for a while?" I asked.

"Yeah." Armin answered.

He pulled me into a kiss. I settled in quickly, kissing him back. He ran his hand through my wet black and red hair, his other arm wrapped around my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

We parted for breath, which almost disappointed me for a bit. His head leaned down, our foreheads touching.
"I love you Cat." He whispered, smiling.

"I love you too." I whispered back.

Don't lose your faith in me
(Don't ever look back, don't ever look back)
It's never what it seems
You'll make your mistakes
But it's never too late
We had to learn the hard way

We walked back up to the beach, and sat down by the edge of the water. The sun fell below the horizon, the sky now filled with countless stars. I leaned my head on Armin's shoulder.

"Wanna come back here again sometime?" He asked me.

"Yeah. I'd love to." I answered. "How was your last day of 10th grade?"

"Okay. I was bored waiting for the day to be over so I could be with you." He smiled.

"Same." I giggled slightly.

You made your mistakes
It's not too late
You had to learn the hard way
Bridges will burn
Now it's your turn
You had to learn the hard way
'Cause all we ever want is gold (oh, oh)
All we ever want is gold
We had to learn the hard way

I dusted the sand off the bottoms of my feet, slipped my socks and black converse on. The moon was almost directly above me. I stared up at it.

"It's beautiful at night, isn't it? Away from all the city lights." Armin whispered.

"Yeah." I sighed. "It's summer." I smiled at him, my eyes meeting his. The countless stars and the moon shone in his bright blue eyes.

"I know. No more school till late August." He replied, slipping his shoes on.

We stood up, and started walking home. His hand slowly grasped mine. I leaned my head on his shoulder as we walked home. I looked up at him abd spoke.

All we want
What we want is
All we want is gold
What we want
All we want is
All we want is gold

"So, tell me where we go from here."
