The pic on the side is of Danielle.
Dear Mr. Vernon,
We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong, but we think you're crazing for making us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us. In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out, is that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basket case, a princess, and a criminal. Does that answer your question?
Sincerely yours,
The Breakfast Club.
I start to sob as Bender throws his fist in the air.
Don't don't don't
Don't you
Forget about me
The movie fades into silence, and I just stare at the black screen.
That's the best movie I've ever seen.
What the therapist said is working.

It's nine fifteen in the morning when I get to work. Everyone is already here.
I open the blinds. "It's always so dark in here. It's depressing."
Brody and I make eye contact for half a second, and then he just sighs and looks away.
I walk over to him and lean against the wall of his cubicle.
He ignores me.
"I owe you an apology." I say quietly.
He nods slowly.
"For?"
"For yelling at you when you saved my life." I say. "And for not watching that movie."
He sits back.
"I accept your apology."
I take a deep breath.
"By the way, I have a different favorite song."
"What is it?" he asks.
I go to his computer and go to Youtube.
"Look away." I say.
"Why?" he asks.
"Just...just do it." I put my hand over his eyes.
"Alright, alright, I'm looking away.He turns around.
I type in the song and let it start to play. He whips around.
"You watched it?" he asks.
"Yes." I say.
"And?"
"And it's my favorite movie."
"Did you like it?"
"Well, it's my favorite movie, so yes. I cried."
"It's not sad." He laughs.
The elevator dings.
I prepare to get yelled at by my boss.
I can't see who it is yet.
"Well when you're a women, you cry at everything." The girl across from him says.
"Yeah, seriously." I say.
"You'll learn that if you ever find a girl." His friend laughs.
Brody rolls his eyes.
"I have a sister."
