[This fiction is written to be in your pov. Also, this is the very first fanfiction I've ever attempted to write. Though the beginning might seem abit rocky, it's worth a shot to complete!]

"Aishhhh kapchagiya!!" I sneered at the hand dryer. I flicked the machine and stomped out of the airport restroom, my heart beating erratically. I was excited but sleep deprived. This was the first time I'd ever be traveling on my own and as a 16 year old who's heard a lot about the big scary world, I was teetering at my wits end thinking about all the possible problems I might encounter.

"Ugh. I need an aspirin. This headache is killing me" I exclaimed as I plopped down on a seat in the departure waiting area. Sliding down in my seat, I flung an arm over my eyes and took a couple of deep breaths. I was starting to think twice about doing this.

"Oh dear. Honey are you alright there? You look very pale. Where are your parents?"

I looked over to my right where the voice was coming from and noticed a middle aged lady with the prettiest smile. Sitting up, I sent her a smile.

"I'm fine. Just abit fatigued. I'm alone today and was too excited to sleep so now I have a slight headache. Thank you for asking though." I said. "You don't happen to have an aspirin do you? I wouldn't want to create any trouble on the plane later on" I asked the lady

"Why yes I do" she said as she searched through her purse and handed me two sealed pills. "But you might want to reconsider dear. These will make you drowsy, you might miss your flight if you fall asleep."

"Don't worry" I told her. "My immune system has always been the strongest of everyone I know and I never get drowsy from medicine. Thank you very much!"

As I waited for my flight, I chatted with the lady for awhile longer. She told me that she was returning to Korea, her homeland, to complete a mission where she fulfilled dreams. She mentioned something about wishing that I would join her mission but before I knew it, I was drifting off to dreamland.

"........SQ123 to Seoul, South Korea now. The gate will be closing for flight SQ123 to Seoul, South Korea now"

I woke up and rubbed my eyes. Looking at the digital clock, i stared in disbelief. "OH MY GOD.  ANDWAE ANDWAE ANDWAE" I squealed as I ran to the service counter.

"Has flight SQ123 to Seoul already gone?!?!" I shot at the service staff. "Yes, the last announcement was made 5 minutes ago and the plane is in line for takeoff soon. Is there a problem miss?" said the staff member.

"EOMMAAAAAAAA" I screamed in my head. "Yes there is a problem! I was supposed to be on that flight but I've just missed it. Are there any other flights to seoul today? I really need to get there by tomorrow morning!" I pleaded.

"Let me check" said the staff member. "Why yes there is. Flight SQ172 is departing in 10 minutes. Would you like to check for available seats?"

"Yes! Absolutely! Please!" I exclaimed.

With a new ticket in hand, I sprinted to the departure gate for flight SQ172 and managed to get on the plane on time. Now I was not only fatigued, I was annoyed, angry and nervous. The rocky start of my journey seemed like a bad omen.

I plopped down in my too-small, economy class seat and put on my headphones. Just like my intuition told me, I was stuck between two smelly old men and had a mischievous little kid kicking the back of my seat. Now I could only wait to reach the land of kimchi and amazing wifi. Bad luck really is my best friend.
