Chapter 2
“Let go of me!” I yelled again.
Just then, he grabbed something out of his pocket. He held the knife at my throat, dragging it across my neck, leaving a thin trail of blood. I squirmed in pain but he just cut into me harder. I finally stopped resisting under his grasp and he smiled.
“Now, no more fighting and defiantly no noise from you,” he spoke softly, dragging me through the parking lot.
He still had the knife against my throat and my cut was stinging painfully.
“What is your name?” I asked eager to get some information from him.
“Scar.” he responded simply.
“How did you get the name?” I asked him, unsure whether I wanted to know the answer.
“Do you want me to show you?” he questioned, smiling evilly.
I shook my head vigorously, causing him to let out a low chuckle.
When we stopped, he pushed me into the back of the white commercial van. I landed on the dry material floor of the van and I let out a cry of pain. Scar climbed into the front seat and started the engine. It was funny; Scar had the same eyes as Dan. Dan!
“Where is Dan?” I yelled, scared about what had happened to him.
“Oh, you mean your little friend back at the nightclub? Well, I had my gang take care of him,” he stated, staring at me in the rear view mirror.
I let out a sob and felt a tear fall down my cheek.
“Did they kill him?” I asked, bringing myself up to a sitting position.
“Well, I’m not sure about that,” he spoke with a twitch of amusement in his voice.
Dan, please be okay, I thought. Please come and save me.
I let out a groan as Scar slammed on the brakes. My body slammed against the side and Scar turned the engine off. He had been driving for a while now, but I had no idea where we were. My eyes glanced out the window and I noticed we were driving through a forest.
“Where are we going?” I asked, trying to be as nice as possible. I didn’t want to be hurt anymore so it was better to play on the nice side.
“My secret house,” he stated simply.
I did not like the sound of this.
When Scar’s car was slowed down to a stop, I figured we were at his ‘secret house’. Scar jumped out of the car and unlocked the door for me to get out. I took the chance and jumped out. My legs were forced to move and I started running away from him. Scar caught up quickly and pounced on top of me. I screamed as he pushed me to the ground.
“I’m gonna show you why my name’s Scar,” he said, pinning me to the ground.
He pulled out his knife and lifted my shirt up. The knife sunk into my stomach tissue and I screamed in agony. Scar kept on plunging the knife into me, each time in a different part of my stomach. All the time he was stabbing me, I thought of Dan and how I may never see him again. I couldn’t give up, I thought. Not now, when Dan may still be alive.
