Chapter Six
I sighed, and decided that I had to go to school, because I had missed the last two days, and I really wanted to graduate high school and go to college.
-
I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door.
-
I walked to my first period class, that I unfortunately shared with Ren. I took my seat, and stared out the window.
My ears piped up when I heard the teacher began talking. "Today, we are going to be working together with partners. If only one person does all the work then I will make sure that the person who didn't put any effort gets a bad grade. And the person who did all of the work get all of the credit." the teacher said, she began to pair off names.
"Oliver and Tess." I looked around the room to see if I could find out who my partner was.
My eyes landed on a girl, that had long chestnut brown hair, it was shiny and looked very smooth, her eyes were a green-brown color.
She sat down awkwardly beside me.
"Hi," she said softly.
"Hey." I replied my voice cracking.
"So, I'm guessing you're Oliver. I'm Tess, if you didn't hear..." her voice said trailed off.
"Yeah, anyway, let's just get to work on this project, okay?" I said, my voice coming out sharper than I wanted it too.
She looked down at the floor, "Yeah, okay." she mumbled. "I'll just go get what we need for the project."
I watched as she abruptly got up from beside me and walked over to the teacher's desk.
I had this feeling in my chest the whole time I watched her, a feeling that I hadn't felt since Ren broke up with me.
And I didn't like it. Not at all.

Nouvelles"I'm sorry." she said, her eyes cold and unforgiving. "But it's over, Oliver." "No, it can't be over, Ren." I whispered, my eyes filling with tears. "It is." she replied, turning around and walking out of my life. Forever.
